Things to Know About Self-Quarantine

UK Health Minister Nadine Dorries is on 'self-quarantine' over suspicion of infection with the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19). Most of the young players, including Ronaldo, a well-known player playing club football in Italy, a member of the lower house of the United States, and some of the filmmakers are on self-quarantine.

Italy has instructed more than 600 million of its citizens to stay in self-quarantine. Australia and South Korea, along with Italy, have legislated to punish those who disobeyed the quarantine directive. it is requested to prohibit group activities. The risk of infection can be reduced if we are self-conscious at such times.

Self-quarantine is a personal initiative to reduce the likelihood of an infection spreading apart from other people, even if a person is suspected of having an infection, and the ease of identifying the disease. Such a person must live separately in his own house or in a fixed room, within a specified timeframe (14 days for suspected Covid-19).

The person who has been in direct contact with the last time should inform themselves that he or she is sitting on a quarantine. Social media can be used for this. You should also report the infection seen during the quarantine period.

Within 14 days of self-quarantine fever, difficulty breathing, cough or other respiratory problems should go to the health institution. A compulsory mask should be worn when going to the hospital If there is no mask, the nose and mouth should be covered with a towel.

Who should live in self-quarantine?

  • A person who has returned from abroad.
  • 14 days from the date of the last contact because close to the person infected with the coronavirus.
  • A suspected person closely associated with the coronavirus infection.
  • People who have come from China, Iran, South Korea, Italy, UAE, Japan and other high-risk countries.
  • The person suspected of having an infection may also be in contact with the quarantined person who is in direct contact with the patient. However, not all family members need to live in Quarantine.

How to live in self-quarantine?

  • You should stay in one room with all the amenities possible. All rooms in the house should be used to clean the entire house in case of infection.
  • The whole house must be in constant phone and message contact with the outside world in the quarantine alone. If you are a long-term patient, you should keep in touch with the hospital or physician.
  • Avoid family members as much as possible by wearing a mask in a fixed room if a blood test is sent to the person in fear of infection. Separate bathrooms and toilets.
  • Living away from pets (in Hong Kong the dog was moved to Covid - 19).
  • Do not allow any family member to come home.
  • Going to the nearest hospital for health check-up only by providing all the information, so that it takes time for the hospital health workers to prepare for treatment safely.
  • Symptoms visually masking, sneezing, covering your nose with cloth or paper when opening. Throw the used items in a trash can, and wipe them for 20 seconds and wipe them with a hand sanitizer.
  • Do not use your personal clothes, utensils, soap, etc. Properly clean the house lock, key, veranda, TV remote, mobile, computer mouse, keyboard, etc.

  • Many have to live in a quarantine place with open, spacious rooms, and use the air-conditioned space.
  • Do not be distracted by symptoms, seek medical advice immediately if symptoms increase.
  • Protect phone numbers of nearby police, hospitals, Red Cross or other social organizations while in Quarantine.

Ways to increase self-esteem:

  • Have constant communication with family members. Follow the official media for news. Do not read some misleading news on social media.
  • Encourage underage family members against potential infections. Encourage daily activities in general.
  • Communicating with friends, relatives on the phone and messages constantly.
  • Do yoga, meditation, workout daily. Walking for a while on a house patio, terrace or patio and getting clean air.
  • Work from home to work online.
  • Make the most of quarantine time. For example, reading a book, drawing, learning to play an instrument.
