BBA in Nepal - Eligibility, Curriculum, Scope, Fee:

After passing Plus Two, BBA or Bachelors in Business Administration is the first choice subject for most students in the Faculty of Management at the Bachelor level. This subject is taught through a four-year semester system (total 8 semesters). This subject, which is the choice of many students, is also seen as a subject of global recognition.

This subject-based on management teaches students to become entrepreneurs. As it involves effective learning, both theoretically and experimentally, it prepares the manpower to work directly in the market. Therefore, students who have studied this subject anywhere in the world can get opportunities and success in the field of management and business faster than those who have studied other subjects.

BBA studies develop leadership skills as well as management skills in students. Therefore, BBA can be considered as an effective educational program to produce qualified manpower.

Curriculum:

This is a four-year course taught under the BBA semester system. This course is taught under the semester system in almost all the universities in Nepal. You have to study 15 credit hours every semester at Tribhuvan University and 120 credit hours in all semesters. Similarly, students of Pokhara University have to study 120 credit hours till the 8th semester. Students at Kathmandu University and Eastern University also have to study 120 credit hours. The main subjects to be studied in BBA are Accounting, Financial Management, Marketing, Quantitative Techniques, Business Law and Ethics, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Economics, Management Information System.

Eligibility criteria:

Students studying BBA must have studied Plus Two Science or Management and must have a mandatory 1.8 GPA in the exam. In order to be admitted to the colleges under Tribhuvan University, the student has to appear and pass the CMAT entrance examination. Similarly, students studying at Kathmandu University must pass the KUMAT entrance exam.

Scope of BBA:

Students who have studied BBA can get opportunities in many fields. In the future, students can get opportunities in corporate houses, banks, finance, insurance, education, national and international organizations, governmental and non-governmental sectors, etc. BBA students are also able to run their own businesses and work in any field easily. Since this subject requires an internship, they also acquire practical education and vocational skills while studying, which makes the student more proficient. Therefore, most students do not have to stay unemployed after studying BBA.

BBA tuition fee:

Fees for studying BBA are determined differently in each college. Pricing is based on the services and facilities provided by the college. For a four-year BBA, students have to arrange around Rs 4 lakh to Rs 8 lakh. The fee for a four-year BBA study at Kathmandu University is up to Rs 750,000.

Where to Study BBA?

BBA is taught in four universities in Nepal. BBA is offered at Tribhuvan University, Pokhara University, Purbanchal University, and Kathmandu University as well as at affiliated colleges. Similarly, this subject is also studied in colleges affiliated with foreign universities. About 30 colleges from TU teach BBA. About 46 colleges from Pokhara University are running the BBA program. Colleges affiliated with 31 Purbanchal Universities and 2 Kathmandu Universities are conducting BBA programs. Similarly, about 30 colleges are operating colleges with affiliation with foreign universities.
