The MSc in Forestry program at Lumbini Technical University is designed to produce well-trained and skilled professionals in the field of forestry. To be eligible for the program, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Forestry or related subjects from a recognized university.

Nepalese applicants are required to take an entrance examination consisting of objective questions related to general knowledge, forestry, and subject-specific matters. Applicants must obtain a minimum of 40% (120 marks) to pass the test. The final merit list of applicants will be prepared by adding 20% marks of the B.Sc. Degree to 80% of the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination.
