Open Virtual Quiz Nepal is going to organize an online attendance quiz competition with the slogan 'Play, Learn and Win Together'. According to Shushil Adhikari, coordinator of Nepal, a virtual quiz targeting the epidemic of 'Covid-19' coronavirus will be launched from Bhadra 12. The quiz will be conducted on Saturday the 12th from 6 pm to 7 pm, said Adhikari.
He said that the contest will be conducted at the same time every week through social media (Facebook and YouTube). According to him, the winner of the annual event will receive Rs. 1 lakh in cash, trophy, and certificate, while the organizers will provide educational materials worth Rs. 50,000 to the winning school.
Similarly, the runner-up will be provided Rs. 50,000 in cash along with a trophy, certificate, and educational materials worth Rs. 30,000 by the organizers. The coordinating officer informed that two semi-finalists will be awarded Rs 5,000 each and five quarter-finalists (via YouTube Live) will be awarded Rs 1,000 each.
According to him, 15 final winners (via Facebook Live) will be given top-up payment at the rate of Rs 100 each. Officials said that to participate in the competition, one can register from 10:00 am on Sunday to 5:00 pm on Friday, by phone, WhatsApp, Viber (9840700666 and 9826602299).
He said that the competition would be conducted on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
The registration fee has been fixed at Rs 50 for those who want to participate in the competition, said the coordinating officer. The weekly competition will run for one hour every Friday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Similarly, the monthly operation will be held on the first Saturday of every month from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. He said that the time and date of the annual grand final will be decided soon.
"We are organizing a virtual quiz competition in the run-up to the Coronavirus epidemic," he said. We are confident that it will also develop goodwill between Nepalis and Nepalis, ”he said.
