EPS-TOPIK 2025 First Phase Korean Language Test Application Notice
Government of Nepal, Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Department of Foreign Employment, EPS Korea Section, Gwarko, Lalitpur, Urgent Notice Regarding Application Form for the First Phase of EPS-TOPIK 2025 Korean Language Test.
Passing the Korean Language Test does not guarantee employment in Korea.
As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, and the Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea, the Employment Permit System (EPS) enables sending Nepali citizens to Korea as workers.
To select qualified candidates, the HRD Service of Korea has provided the examination schedule for the first phase of the Korean language test as outlined below.
Eligible and interested Nepali citizens are requested to submit their application forms based on the following details.
This notice has been published in accordance with the decision of the Ministry dated 2082/04/16.
1. Exam Date
(a) Will be published in a later notice.
(b) Up to five shifts per day may be conducted, and the exam schedule may change depending on the number of applicants or other unforeseen circumstances.
2. Application Sectors

Manufacturing sector / Agriculture and Livestock sector

Estimated number of passing candidates in the language test: 5,300 (3,500 in manufacturing, 1,800 in agriculture and livestock).

The number of passers may increase or decrease depending on Korea’s demand.
(a) Each person may apply for only one sector.
(b) Applicants for the manufacturing sector must choose one sub-sector between Assemble 2 Measures or 3Join. Applicants for agriculture and livestock must choose one sub-sector between Agriculture or 2 Livestock.
(c) Candidates who pass the language test must also participate in and pass the second phase Skill Test and Competency Test before they are eligible to fill the Job Application Form. Detailed information regarding the second phase test will be published after the result of the first phase exam.
3. Applicant Eligibility
(a) Nepali citizen
(b) Must be at least 18 years old and not older than 39 years; that is, born between August 12, 1985 and August 11, 2007 (equivalent to B.S. 2042 Shrawan 28 to 2064 Shrawan 26)
(c) Must not have been convicted by a court in a criminal case
(d) Must not have resided illegally in Korea or been deported
(e) Must not be barred by the Government of Nepal from going abroad
(f) Must not have stayed in Korea for more than two employment terms or more than five years on E-9 or E-10 visas
(g) Must not have color blindness or color weakness
4. Application Registration Process
(a) Application Dates

From 2082 Shrawan 26 to 31 (corresponding to August 11 – August 16, 2025)

All applicants will take the exam in Kathmandu.
(c) Application Submission Process

Go to https://eoers.epsnepal.gov.np and fill out the online application form.
(d) Application Method

(e) Required Documents for Application

Applicants must upload a color-scanned JPG image file of the passport’s bio page (Width: 600 pixels, less than 90KB) when filling out the application. They must also mention their email address and mobile number.

A color photo, showing both ears, taken within the past three months, with a white background, showing upper chest, not wearing white clothes, of MRP size (Width: 100–300 pixels, File type: JPG only, Size less than 14KB) must be uploaded.
Note
If the applicant’s personal details (such as name, surname, date of birth, or photo) mentioned in the application form differ from those in the passport, the applicant will not be allowed to sit for the exam and will be barred from entering Korea.
Since corrections cannot be made after submission, applicants are strongly advised to verify all information before submitting the form.
(f) Exam Fee

The exam fee is USD 28.

The equivalent amount in Nepali Rupees, based on the official exchange rate set by the Central Bank (Nepal Rastra Bank) one day before the application date, must be paid online through the same portal.
5. Exam Venue and Time

Details of exam venue and time will be published after receiving further notice from the HRD Service of Korea.

The exam will be conducted online using UBT (Ubiquitous Based Test) tablets.
6. Result Publication
(a) The result of the language test will be published after receiving notification from the HRD Service of Korea.
(b) Candidates can check their scores at www.eps.go.kr.
(c) The test result will be valid for two years from the date of result publication.

The EPS-TOPIK will be based on multiple-choice questions.

There will be no break in between; the test will be conducted continuously.
8. Exam Day Instructions
(a) Each applicant must bring a printed color copy of the admit card and original passport. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to take the exam.
(b) It is strictly prohibited to bring mobile phones, cassette players, PDAs, MP3s, smartwatches, or any electronic devices into the exam building or room. If found, the candidate’s exam will be canceled.
(c) If an unauthorized person enters the exam center under someone else’s name or attempts to take the test for another person, they will be arrested with the passport and related documents and punished according to law. Their details may be published in the media, and all involved individuals will be banned from taking the EPS-TOPIK exam for four years.
(d) Candidates who cheat or assist in cheating will not be allowed to take the EPS-TOPIK exam again for four years.
(e) Candidates who pass the Korean language test but fail the medical check-up or have an adverse police report will not be allowed to fill out the job application form.
(f) The Department of Foreign Employment, EPS Korea Section, is the only authorized entity for EPS employment procedures. No private organization, educational institute, or individual has any involvement.
