Nepal Bar Council 29th Advocate Level Written Exam Registration Open

To participate in the 29th Advocate Level Examination to be conducted by the Nepal Bar Council in the month of Jestha 2078 BS in Kathmandu of Bagmati Province, Biratnagar of Province No. 1, Janakpur of Province No. 2, Pokhara of Gandaki Province, Butwal of Lumbini Province, Surkhet of Karnali Province and Dhangadhi of Sudurpashchim Province.

Interested persons who are qualified as per Section 17 (1) of the Bar Council Act, 2050 BS are invited to certify the required documents by a notary public and submit the prescribed application form in full from 2077-12-16 to 2078-01-15.

The application form can be submitted by paying a double fee within the next seven days from the day after the deadline expired.

  • According to the Law Practitioner Examination Operating Directive, 2055 BS, if there are less than 50 candidates in the examination center outside the Kathmandu Valley, the examination will not be conducted in that examination center.
  • The application form can be purchased from the council by paying Rs.100.
  • The syllabus of the examination and the prescribed precedents can be downloaded from the Council's website (www.nepalbarcouncil.org.np).
  • The current account no. 00115403919 of Siddhartha Bank, which paid Rs. 2,500 for the examination fee, is in the cash collection center of Siddhartha Bank. The original bank voucher application form must be submitted.
  • Information regarding the examination program and examination center will be published through the website of the council within the first week of the month of Jestha 2078 BS.
  • If the applicant is currently employed in a government or non-government office or association/institution or body or is engaged in other business, he/she will have to submit a letter of permission from the concerned authority to do legal business after passing the Canon Entrepreneur Examination. If they are not able to submit the permit, they will be able to get the certificate after completing the process of separation from job or business.
  • Candidates are not allowed to enter the examination hall with anything other than the entrance ticket and writing pen, electronic materials including mobile phones and purses.
