Important Notice: Open and Inclusive Written Examination Program Announced of University Grants Comission (UGC), Nepal

University Grants Commission (UGC) has released a notice regarding the determination of the written examination program for the open and inclusive competitive written examination. This notice is aimed at providing information to all concerned individuals. The commission has made special arrangements for candidates with a Covid-19 infection by setting up a separate examination center. It is mandatory for affected candidates to inform the Commission at least three hours before the start of the examination.

Instructions for Candidates

  1. Candidates must use only dot pen or pen with black ink to fill in the answer sheet.
  2. Admit cards are mandatory for entry into the examination hall. Candidates should bring their admit cards and arrive at the examination center at least one hour before the scheduled time.
  3. Candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying bags, mobile phones, and other electronic devices into the examination hall.
  4. In the event of an unexpected holiday on the examination day, the scheduled examination program will not be postponed without prior notice from the Commission.
  5. While answering objective multiple-choice questions, candidates should write their answers using capital letters A, B, C, or D only.
  6. Along with the admit card, candidates must bring their citizenship or a government-issued identity card.
  7. The examination will be conducted in accordance with the norms outlined in the Examination (Operation and Management), 2077 (Third Amendment), issued by the Commission for special cases of transition.
  8. All examinees must fill out the self-declaration form regarding their health status on the University Grants Commission website through electronic means.
  9. Candidates infected with Covid-19 should inform the University Grants Commission in advance as a special examination center will be arranged for them.

Additional Safety Measures for Candidates during Covid-19

  1. Candidates must wear masks and carry sanitizer and drinking water before entering the examination center.
  2. It is advised that candidates arrive at the examination center one hour prior to the scheduled time.
  3. Candidates should follow the designated entry and exit routes, maintaining a distance of two meters from others.
  4. Gathering and group discussions are strictly prohibited.
  5. Examination personnel must fully comply with the given instructions.
