Chinese President Xi Jinping in Nepal

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrives in Kathmandu. President Xi arrived in Nepal after a two-day visit to India. President Xi arrived at Air China's special plane landing at 4:45 pm on Saturday. Earlier, a Chinese security guard aboard the plane landed at 4: 10. Metropolitan Police Chief DIG Shailesh Thapa Chhetri said President Xi arrived in the second plane. 

President Xi landed on Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu has been affected for two and a half hours. Spokesperson of the Airport Office, Pratap Babu Tiwari issued the statement saying that the information regarding Extraordinary Movement will be made public from 3 pm to 5:30 pm. 

President Xi Jinping was welcomed at the airport by President Vidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. President C is going straight from the airport to the Solti Hotel in Kalimati. Xi will meet President Bhandari at the Solti Hotel at 4:30 pm as per the schedule provided by the Foreign Ministry. 

President Seale is scheduled to meet with the Nepalese leader at various stages at 7.30 am on Sunday. There will be bilateral talks between Prime Minister Oli and CB at 8:30 pm. The agreement will be signed between the two countries shortly after the discussion. 

The Information and Broadcasting Department has assigned a dress code to a journalist reporting Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Nepal. According to the information issued by the department, the national media and the private media journalists have been designated 'dress suit with ties' for men and 'suit set, sari or decent kurta' for women. The government has given a pass to a private media journalist and a photojournalist for reporting. 

This level visit is about to take place after two years from China. In 1996, Cheng Chamin visited Nepal However, there are visits from China to the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister levels in Nepal. 

Chinese President Xi will discuss a dozen more agendas on infrastructure including rail, road, tunnel, hydropower project, transmission line. The list is being prepared by the Chinese government under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a foreign official said. 

The senior officials of the foreign ministry have prepared the agenda for discussing one plan from the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Planning, three from the Ministry of Energy, one from the Ministry of Home and Education. 

China is preparing to announce major assistance to the East-West Railroad. Along with the upgrading of the Kerung-Kathmandu road, the six-tunnel road from Tokha to Nuwakot is also China's priority. Nepal has realized the same priorities and has moved ahead. President Xi is scheduled to leave for China on Sunday at 11:30 am. 

Xi had reached Mamlipuram via Chennai in India on Friday. There he has held talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The talks were held with the boat sire in the coastal area of Mamlipuram. This negotiation has been designated Wuhan-2. After the Doklam dispute, the Wuhan-1 talks have brought India and China closer together.
