Gandaki University Organized a Motivation and Orientation Program for B Pharmacy Students

Gandaki University has organized a motivation and orientation program for the newcomer students of Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharma) on Wednesday. The program was conducted by the university before the formal classes of the students enrolled in the four-year program started.

The first batch of classes under the program selected by the Medical Education Commission is starting from the 19th of Mangsir. Speaking on the occasion, the Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Ganeshman Gurung said that the university has emphasized on producing age-appropriate manpower.

"Educational programs are organized with the help and cooperation of all stakeholders," he said, adding that health education programs including B-pharmacy will be included.
He said that a master plan is being prepared for the construction of physical infrastructure including the innovation center. He informed that all the construction work will be organized by preparing detailed project report (DPR).

Chancellor Gurung expressed his gratitude to all including the ward office for their support in land management. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nawaraj Devkota claimed that there was novelty in the dimensions of the university.

Mentioning that the dream of the second generation will be realized by increasing the competitiveness of the students, he said that all the activities and activities of the university will be gradually understood by the students and stakeholders. Claiming that the entire team of the university is from politics, he requested the students to focus on their studies rather than politics and realize the efforts of the university. He informed that all the demands and questions of the students would be addressed in a democratic manner.

University Registrar Dr. Kailash Timilsina said that the practice of studying alone and sharing knowledge and skills with friends has come to an end. "Nowadays, students should exchange knowledge, skills and experiences," he said. Dr. Kapil Adhikari, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, while presenting the educational plans and programs, said that the students should be able to walk side by side with the society, nation and the world. Expressing gratitude for choosing the university as a companion of higher education, he said that he would teach the students as well as teach them. He mentioned that he would teach the students to walk rather than teach them.

Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, Technology and Social Development and Chief of Higher Education, Toynath Lamsal, stressed on the need to free the education sector from political interference. He noted that the organization should be open and all should be aware of political rights.

Chairman of Pokhara Metropolitan City Ward No. 32 Akkal Bahadur Karki expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of the ward for welcoming and supporting the university. He suggested that the temple of learning should stay away from politics and provide quality education.

Dolaraj Subedi, assistant administrator of the university, said that the university has started programs in information technology, sports management and B-pharmacy at the undergraduate level.
