Jip Chhiring Lama Sherpa Receives FCAN Glory Award

Federation of Contractor's Associations of Nepal (FCAN) Awards: Honoring Contributions to the Construction Industry

The Federation of Contractor's Associations of Nepal (FCAN) recently organized the 11th FCAN Excellence Award-2079 to recognize outstanding contributions to the construction industry.

Jip Chhiring Lama Sherpa Receives FCAN Glory Award

The FCAN has bestowed the FCAN Glory Award to Hip Chhiring Lama Sherpa, a leading construction businessman who has made significant contributions to the industry. Sherpa, a former president and honorary member of the federation, received the award from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Narayankaji Shrestha.

Kalika Construction Wins Two FCAN Excellence Awards

Kalika Construction, an 'A' category construction company, won two FCAN Excellence Awards in the categories of best work done abroad and best work completed on time in the country. Nicholas Pandey, executive director and advisor of the federation, accepted the award on behalf of Kalika Construction.

Other Winners in Different Categories

Several other companies and individuals received awards in various categories, including the following:

  • Jayavishnu Nirman Seva Pvt Ltd won the Silver Award for doing excellent work on time in the 'B' category.
  • Bhimeshwar Drilling and Construction Services Pvt. Ltd. Bhaktapur received the FCAN Gold Award for the best work among the 'A' class construction companies participating in the competition.
  • Sagun Construction and Engineering Pvt Ltd won the Gold Award, while SL Construction Pvt Ltd won the Silver Award in the 'B' category.
  • National Construction Pvt Ltd Kanchanpur won Gold, and Shivalaya Builders Pvt Ltd Kavre won the Silver Award in the 'C' category.
  • Uddeshya construction service from Jhapa won the excellent award in Class 'D' from the Koshi province.
  • Tej Construction won the award from Bagmati Province in Class 'D' category, while GS Engineering from Gandaki Province won the award.
  • Surkhet received the award for the best construction service from Karnali province.
  • Kailali won the award from Tarai, while Kaski and Sindhupalchok won the award from Pahad and Himal respectively among the best district builders association.
  • The Bagmati Province Federation won the award for the best province builders federation.
  • Geeta Shahi of SL Construction won the award for the best female construction entrepreneur, while Architect Collaborate Nepal Pvt Ltd won the award for the best service promotion consulting company.
  • Engineer Narendra Kumar Dev received the Construction Sector Excellence Engineer Award.
  • The Most Supportive Sponsor Award went to MAW Earth Movers Pvt Ltd (JCB).
  • Pragati Shah (Jai Lakshmi Construction Bajura), Jenisha Maharjan (KB Developer & Construction Pvt Ltd Kathmandu), Ravikant Shah (Jai Ambe Construction Parsa), and Asutosh Das (New Asutosh Construction Saptari), who have completed their studies in engineering subjects, were awarded.
  • Newchhemaya Tundakar received the award among the employees working in the Federation Secretariat.

FCAN Ready to Cooperate with Construction Companies

In the award distribution program, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Narayankaji Shrestha expressed the government's readiness to cooperate with construction companies.

FCAN Excellence Award was Established as a Prestigious Award of the Nation

FCAN President Ravi Singh expressed pride in the award program's establishment as a prestigious award of the nation. Senior Vice President Angdorji Lama (AD), who is also the coordinator of the award program, expressed his commitment to making the FCAN Excellence Award distribution program more organized in the future.

The award ceremony served as a platform to recognize and appreciate the outstanding contributions of the construction sector in Nepal. It encouraged entrepreneurs to work harder and achieve greater heights in their respective fields.

Hip Chhiring Lama Sherpa, the leading construction businessman, who received the FCAN Glory Award, expressed his gratitude to FCAN for recognizing his efforts and the entire construction industry's hard work. He also emphasized the need to uplift the sector and work collaboratively to create a better future for the industry.
