The Foreign Employment Office, Kathmandu, is going to issue new personal labor permits online from Friday (20th May 2022). According to the office, personal labor permits is also being given online as per the objective of providing services related to foreign employment online.
The Foreign Employment Office has started providing re-labor permits online from 2078 BS and institutional labor approval work from 2079 BS. As the service flow has been streamlined, the daily crowd of thousands at the office has been removed.
The office has decided to provide services only through an online system with the arrangement that the work of new individual labor permits and labor permits through legalization will be done only online.
Ramesh Aryal, head of the office, said that the ministry has been directed to provide quick and easy complaint-free service in a simple and easy way using modern technology.
Last year, one lakh 67 thousand labor permits were issued for foreign employment. According to the office, more than 500,000 labor permits have been issued in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year.
