Tal Barahi Secondary School Pokhara has celebrated its 64th anniversary and parents' day on 14th Poush, Wednesday. It was held under the chairmanship of Krishna Prasad Neupane, Chairman of the School Management Committee. The program was concluded with various cultural programs, endowment scholarship distribution and award distribution.
Bain Bahadur Chhetri, chairman of the District Coordinating Committee, Kaski, who was the special guest at the program, said that Tal Barahi Secondary School has the potential to lead the education in Pokhara. He emphasized the need for quality education as well as life-sustaining and practical education. Chief of the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Kaski, Narayan Prasad Subedi stressed on the important role of the School Management Committee and the Teachers and Parents Association in the development and progress of the school.
Ward Chairman of Pokhara Metropolitan City Ward No. 6 Jagat Bahadur Pahari said that the ward office was always ready to support the school in the field of educational and physical development. Chairman of the School Management Committee, Krishna Prasad Neupane, said that employment oriented education would be imparted in the school by conducting technical subjects from the next academic session. Presenting the educational, physical and financial report of the last school, the school principal Tara Prasad Pokhrel also expressed his commitment to make the school a model school of the country in the next five years.
School Inspector Ram Prasad Tiwari said that Talbarahi Secondary School should move ahead in the field of improving the quality of education. Prem Raj Pahari, former chairman of the school management committee, said that the Tal Barahi Secondary School was the identity of not only the Baidambasi community but also Pokhara.

On the occasion, teachers and staff of the year Padam Prasad Dawadi, Mina Parajuli, Devi KC, Tulasi Bhandari and Sabina Pahari were honored for their outstanding contribution to the school. Retired teacher Vijaya Baral was also dismissed a few days ago on the same day.
The event honored Akshayakosh founder Krishna Raj Pahari, Shrikrishna Pahari (Kathare), Chet Bhakta Neupane, Taranath Adhikari, and Nirmala Pahari who helped build the Saraswati Temple at the school.
In the program. The Akshayakosh Scholarship established at Tal Barahi Secondary School was awarded Rs. 425,000 to the poor and hardworking students studying from class 1 to 12.
Madhav Prasad Poudel, a teacher of Mathematics, was honored by the school for passing 100% of the students in the board examination of class 12 of 2077 BS. Similarly, students who scored more than 3.2 GPA in the SEE examination of 2077 BS were given a token of love.
