Tribhuvan University Celebrated 61st Anniversary on Monday:

The country's largest and oldest Tribhuvan University has entered its 61st year. This university was established in the year 2016. On the occasion of the annual day, a program has been organized at the Tribhuvan University campus, Kirtipur on Monday.

The flag was hoisted by Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, Vice-Chancellor of the University and Minister for Education, Science, and Technology.

Under TU, there are currently four faculties, including management, pedagogy, humanities and social sciences, and law. Similarly, studies are conducted in five institutes including Science and Technology, Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture and Animal Science, and Forest Science.

Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel said that Tribhuvan University has made significant efforts to link education with technology considering the complexities caused by the global epidemic of coronavirus.

Addressing a Tribhuvan University meeting held on Monday on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of Tribhuvan University, he expressed the view that the traditional style of education should be radically changed and the home should be transformed into a place of learning. He pointed out the need to make education more creative, practical, and creative by linking the curriculum of everyone from school education to university with technology.

Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Dharmakanta Banskota informed me that the university is intensifying the work of conducting classes through online technology. Head of Education Prada Shivlal Bhusal said that the coronavirus has created a very uncomfortable situation in the university.

Registrar Prada Peshal Dahal presented a brief description of the grace list at the meeting. The annual day meeting of the assembly has been concluded bypassing the 58th grace list. It is stated that 56 thousand 713 students from all faculties and institutes have been included in the grace list.

Students will be graduated from the convocation ceremony to be held in January. On the occasion, Pokharel stressed on the need to make Tribhuvan University research-oriented and technology-friendly. Reviewing the past efforts for the educational upliftment of the university, Pokharel stressed on the need to move forward in a more effective manner in the days to come.
