United Club Pokhara Establishes Library for Bhulbhula Basic School Students
United Club Pokhara, a non-governmental organization, established a library at Bhulbhula Basic School in Pokhara 33 Lower Punditar as part of its week-long program organized on the occasion of the club's 13th anniversary.
The inauguration of the library was done by Ramchandra Adhikari, president of Pokhara 33, who pledged his support for the protection and provision of books in the library. Tirtha Shrestha, United Club's advisor, expressed his happiness for the support provided in upgrading education, while Hari Bahadur Pokharel, chairman of the school management committee, expressed gratitude for establishing the library targeting the students in his school.
Chabilal Paudel, the school principal, thanked the United Club for establishing the library despite the lack of one. Himalaya Bakhrel, the founding president of United Club, mentioned the remarkable work done by the organization since its inception, including social work and tourism promotion. He expressed his happiness to establish a library for the students in Bhulbhula Basic School and wished them a bright future.
President of Bhulbhula Community Forest Baikunth Godar, President of Bhulbhula Mother Group Ishwari Pokharel, and others spoke in the program chaired by United Club President Raju Shrestha. The senior vice president of the club Lok Bahadur Thapa gave a welcome, and the first vice president and program coordinator Ganesh Timilsina gave a thank you note. The general secretary of the club Dinesh Sunar conducted the event.
Establishing a library in the school will enhance the student's knowledge, improve their academic performance, and develop their reading habits. The library provides access to books, which helps students in their research, assignments, and projects. Such initiatives by organizations like United Club Pokhara play a vital role in uplifting the educational standards in underprivileged areas.
