Promotion Notice of Nepal Judicial Service
Nepal Judicial Service has announced vacancies in the Gazetted First and Second Class under the Judicial, Law, and Government Attorney groups. These positions will be filled through promotion based on seniority, performance evaluation, and efficiency assessment. Eligible candidates who have completed the minimum service period by the end of Ashadh 2082, as per Section 21(1)(b) and (2) of the Civil Service Act, 2049, and Rule 11(1) of the Nepal Judicial Service (Formation, Group, and Class Division, Appointment, Transfer, and Promotion) Rules, 2051, must submit the prescribed application form to the Council within the deadline.

Important Instructions for Applicants
(a) Minimum Qualification:
For promotion through seniority and performance evaluation, applicants must meet the requirements under Section 21(a) of the Civil Service Act, 2049. For promotion through efficiency evaluation, the requirements under Section 21(1)(b) and (2) of the same Act and Rule 11(1) of the Nepal Judicial Service Rules, 2051, apply. The candidate must not be disqualified under Section 22 of the Civil Service Act, 2049.
(b) Seniority and Extraordinary Leave:
If the applicant has taken extraordinary leave, the date and duration must be clearly mentioned in the seniority details section of the application form. Any changes in employment type—permanent, development, temporary, or service transfer—must be clearly indicated.
(c) Educational Qualification and Training:
Certified copies of all academic certificates, mark sheets, and documents showing the duration of in-service training must be submitted. For equivalent qualifications, an officially certified equivalence document must also be included.
(d) Geographical Area:
Applicants must clearly specify the total service duration in years, months, and days for the geographical category they have worked in, except for category “Gha.” If study leave has been taken, a certified copy of the approval letter must be attached.
(e) Documents Required for Score Calculation:
Certified copies of attendance records, appointment letters, transfer orders, and travel letters are required to verify service in each category other than “Gha.” For service period verification, certification under Rule 123 of the Civil Service Regulations, 2050, is mandatory.
(f) Application Submission Location:
Judicial Council Secretariat, Ramshahpath, Kathmandu.
(g) Application Deadline:
Within 35 (thirty-five) days from the date of publication in the Gorkhapatra Daily.
(h) Examination Fee:
For Gazetted First Class posts: NPR 2,500 (two thousand five hundred)
For Gazetted Second Class posts: NPR 2,000 (two thousand)
The fee must be paid through the revenue banking system.
(i) Required Documents:
Applicants must include their employee identification number issued by the Civil Service Record Office and a certified copy of their citizenship certificate.
