NMC 74th License Exam: 60% Doctors Fail

NMC 74th License Exam: Only 39.44% Pass

The Nepal Medical Council (NMC) has stated that 60 percent of doctors failed the name registration (license) examination it conducted.

In the 74th license examination for MBBS and BDS, only 39.44 percent of candidates passed. The computer-based exam was conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Pulchowk-based Institute of Engineering Studies (exam center). Of the 943 candidates who participated, only 372 passed.

A total of 967 candidates (MBBS and BDS combined) had submitted forms for the license exam. Among them, 24 were absent, according to the Council.

Candidates who appeared: 775

Passed: 300 (38.7%)

BDS (Dental) Results

Total forms submitted: 174

Candidates who appeared: 168

Passed: 72 (42.85%)
