PSC Kathmandu Publishes Mechanics Result: Open Group All Fail, Only 1 Recommended

The Public Service Commission (PSC), Kathmandu Office has published the final result for the Mechanics post under the Nepal Engineering Service, Mechanical Group. On Tuesday, the office published the results of multiple advertisements together. From the Adivasi Janajati group, 1 (one) candidate has been recommended, while no candidate could be recommended under the Open, Women, and Disabled groups.
The commission has recommended Bal Kumar Tharu for permanent appointment under Advertisement No. 12062/081–82 (Adivasi Janajati) for 1 (one) post. Based on the total marks obtained in the written examination, practical test, and interview, he has been recommended to Heavy Equipment Division, Kathmandu. However, the results for other groups have been declared void due to various reasons.
Open Group: All Candidates Failed the Practical Test
Under Advertisement No. 12060/081–82 (Open), the required number of posts for the Mechanics post was 4 (four). A total of 5 (five) candidates selected from the written examination were present in the interview and practical test.
However, since all five candidates who appeared failed the practical test, the commission stated that no candidate could be recommended under the Open group.
Women and Disabled Groups Also Remain Vacant
Women Group
For Advertisement No. 12061/081–82 (Women), the notice states that the only selected candidate had already been recommended earlier for the post of Senior Mistri, and therefore no candidate remained under this advertisement.
Disabled Group
For Advertisement No. 12063/081–82 (Disabled), no candidate was selected from the written examination for the practical test and interview. As a result, the post could not be filled under this group.
