ICAN Extends Application Deadline for CA Application Level Scholarships Under ICAEW Foundation Bursary

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) has extended the application deadline for scholarships offered under the ICAEW Foundation Bursary to new students seeking admission to the Application Level of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) course.

According to a notice issued on October 14, 2026, the scholarship will be awarded to five students seeking direct admission to the CA Application Level.

The scholarship aims to support academically capable students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds who cannot afford to pursue the CA course due to financial constraints.

For selected students, the scholarship will cover all fees payable to ICAN and specified tuition fees for all levels of the CA course.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following academic requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in any faculty or stream.

• Have obtained a minimum of 50 percent marks, a GPA of 2.5, or an equivalent grade in the qualifying degree.

Important: Students who have already enrolled in the CA course are not eligible for this scholarship.

Selection Process and Priority Criteria

Applicants who do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements will not be considered for scholarship selection.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.

During the selection process, priority will be given based on the following considerations:

• Geographical circumstances

• Financial background

• Membership in marginalized communities

• Physical disabilities

• Gender

• Participation in extracurricular activities, including social responsibility initiatives

• Academic merit of students who have studied at public or government schools and colleges

Important Information: Candidates who have already submitted applications for this scholarship are not required to apply again. Their previously submitted applications will remain valid.
