Kawasoti Municipality Awards Special Scholarships to Community School Students

Kawasoti Municipality of Nawalpur has awarded a special municipal scholarship to students studying science in community schools. A total of 10 students have been awarded the special municipal scholarship, with five students from Shiva Secondary School and five from Tribhuvan Bal Secondary School, where science subjects are taught.

Kawasoti Municipal Education Officer, Rajan Pandey, stated that the scholarship provided for technical studies in the past has been continued, and this year, additional scholarships have been provided for students in the science stream. He said, "Through the policy and program of the fiscal year 2081–82, the municipality had decided to provide scholarships to students studying science subjects."

Previously, Kawasoti Municipality has been providing scholarships to five students each studying technical streams at Janata Secondary School, Magarkot, and Shahid Smriti Secondary School within the municipality.

The selected students will receive full scholarships for grades 11 and 12. The municipality will provide the schools with NPR 260,000 at the rate of NPR 52,000 per student for the scholarships. With this support, the students will be able to study grades 11 and 12 for free, according to Municipal Education Officer Kshetra Bahadur Bhandari.

Municipal Chief Bishnu Prasad Bhusal congratulated the students who succeeded in being selected from within the municipality and expressed his best wishes for their excellence in their respective fields. He also presented the selected students with their selection certificates.
