Kathmandu Metropolitan City (Mahanagarpalika), Urban Planning Commission, Bagmati Pradesh, Kathmandu, Nepal Notice of Application Call for Mayor's Research Fellowship Program 2021
Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), in coordination with the Urban Planning Commission, will run the Mayor's Research Fellowship Program 2021 as the second edition of the Mayors Research Fellowship.
With the objective of assisting the Metropolitan City in conducting Evidence Based Research through policy research and identifying projects related to urban development through Action-Oriented Research. Interested Nepali researchers who are eligible to participate in this program are invited to submit a research proposal within 45 (forty five) days from the date of publication of this notice.
The research proposal may be related to any of the following topics related to Kathmandu Metropolitan City or any other similar subject. History, Art, Culture, Tradition (b) Language, Literature (c) Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Transport, Physical Infrastructure (d) Demographic, Sociological or Anthropological Studies (e) Education, Social Development, Youth, Social Campaign Health, Living Standards (f) Local Economic Development, Urban Finance, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Development (g) Urban Informal Sector, Poverty, Unauthorized Settlement (h) Environment, Sustainable Development, Disaster Management, Climate Change (i) Law, Governance (a) Information and Communication, Innovative Thinking, etc.
Minimum educational qualification and experience: 2 (two years research, teaching or thematic work experience after passing the postgraduate level in the related subject).

Research Period: Six (6) months,

The applicant has to certify and register himself within 45 (forty five) days (office hours) from the date of publication of this notice in the office of the Application Commission.
