Ministry of Education Scholarship for BSC Nursing

The most urgent information about the application for the purpose of maintaining eligibility criteria for nomination of BSC Nursing subject to the scholarship of 10 percent in private education institute affiliated to Kathmandu University and 20 percent in private investment institution for foreign education for 2076 academic year.

For the academic year 2076 BSC Nursing, which receives 10 percent in private education institute affiliated to Kathmandu University and 20 percent in private investment institute of foreign investment, has to maintain qualification for nominating scholarship on the subject, according to the rules regarding scholarship (including amendment), 2060 qualification as below. (1) 55 (fifty-five percent) of the scholarships received by the Government of Nepal will be towards Open quota. 45% (Forty-five percent) places will be reserved for poor and marginalized communities and people who have passed the Entrance Examination from the community schools and the percentage will be distributed on the basis of percentage of the following:

(A) out of the 25 (twenty-five) percent economically or socially impoverished,

1. 20 percent for the Madhesi community: Out of these 20 (twenty) percent, the Madhesi Dalit community is 3 (three) percent and Madhesi 17 percent.

2. 2 (two) percent for the Muslim community

3. Three (three) percent of the families of the martyrs and the disappeared and the injured or their descendants.

(B) Out of 33 (thirty-three) percent for women,

1. 3 (three) percent for Dalit women

2. 2 (two) percent for Muslim women

(C) 2 (two) percent for the disabled,

(D) 27 (twenty-seven) percent of the population

(E) 9 (nine) percent for Dalits,

(F) 4 (four) percent for persons in the Backward of remote areas.

(2) Minimum qualification specified for the application:

 In order to maintain qualification in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, BSc Nursing should have passed the Entrance Examination conducted in 2076 with a minimum of fifty percent marks. The applicant on the reservation must upload the specified document along with the application.

(3) Arrangement regarding application deadline and media: Date from 2076/07/18 to 2076/08/02 Website of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, The application must be submitted through online at www.scholarship.moest.gov.np or www.moest.gov.np.

(2) While maintaining the qualification program, the qualification program of the Ministry will be considered as the basis of the qualification laid down on the basis of written examination taken for the same purpose from the University of Kathmandu pursuant to sub-rule (1) of Rule 14, 2060.

(2) Revenue Arrangements: The student applying for the application will be provided with the code no. 350003501 and Revenue Account No. 14229 amounting to Rs. 1000 / - a thousand) for scanning and uploading of such scans per application.

(3) Groups and documents required to be applied:

(A) General Group: The candidate applying for this group will have to upload a scanned copy of the documents mentioned below (numbered 1 to 3) with the application and at the time of verification, photocopy along with the required original copy should be submitted:

(1) Transcript of the Academic Qualification Transcript, Original / Provisional Certificate passed by the University for the purpose of submitting the application, copy of Original / Provisional Certificate, Mark sheet issued by the respective Board if the board is located outside Nepal. A copy of the certificate / Migration certificate and certificate of equivalency determination,

(2) A copy of the Mark sheet and Original Certificate of the SLC / SEE,

(3) Copy of Nepali citizenship, certificate of citizenship and educational qualification, letter of recommendation of the District Administration Office concerned if the name, surname, and date of birth are different.

(B) Community School Group Reservation Group: Candidates applying to this group should upload the scanned application along with the following documents (1 to 3 of A) for the above general group as well as the following documents.

(1) A letter passed by the SLC / SEE is a community (governmental), related education development and coordination unit or a relevant local level recommendation letter,

(2) Letter of recommendation for maladministration issued by the concerned local level on the basis of Schedule 1 (b) of Schedule 2 (b) of the rules regarding open scholarship for the cause of maladministration, dated 2076 Kartik 26 - 2076 Manshir 02.

(3) Letter of recommendation from the following body:

Madheshi: Letter from the District Administration Office concerned, mentioning the person as belonging to the Madhesi community,

Madheshi Dalit: Letter from the concerned District Administration Office or letter from the National Dalit Commission mentioning the person being a person of Madhesi Dalit community and letter from the concerned District Administration Office mentioning the person belonging to the Madhesi community (only the caste listed by the National Dalit Commission), or local level letter,

Muslim: Letter from the District Administration Office concerned, stating that the person belonging to the Muslim community

The families of the martyrs and the disappeared, and the injured or their children: the recommendation letter or identity card of the Ministry of Home Affairs or the concerned District Administration Office and the certified letter,

Women: Letter of recommendation for poverty from the local level and related educational development and coordination unit or community (government) school letter from the concerned local level,

Dalit Women: Letter from the District Administration Office or letter of the National Dalit Commission (only the caste listed by the National Dalit Commission), or local level recommendation, mentioning the practice of being a woman of the Dalit community;

Muslim Women: Letter from the District Administration Office regarding the mentions of women belonging to the Muslim community,

Disability: Letter from the National Federation of Disabilities or the concerned district administration office or letter of disability, as well as a letter of recommendation written by the Registrar of Physicians that he is capable of studying his medical subject,

Tribes: Letters of Tribal Tribe Upliftment National Establishment or the concerned District Administration Office or Tribal Identity Card (only those listed by the Tribal Tribe Upliftment National Establishment),

Dalit: Letter from the concerned District Administration Office or letter from the National Dalit Commission or Dalit Identity Card (only the caste listed by the National Dalit Commission), or a letter of recommendation at the local level,

People from remote areas of backward areas: Letter from local level confirming that they have settled in the same place till the time of application (Achham, Bajura, Bajhang, Jumla, Humla, Mugu, Dolpa, Kalikot and Jajarkot).

(C) Other School Group Reservation Group: S L. People belonging to the specified category who have not done C / SEO but are willing to apply for reservation can also apply for reservation. Reservation will be provided to persons belonging to the same community who have passed the Entrance Examination from other schools in accordance with Rule 10 (a) of the Scholarship Rules 2060 (with amendments) only if the candidate applying on behalf of the community school is inadequate in the specified quota number. Candidates submitting the application to this group should upload the scanned copy of the recommendation letter as per point 3 (b) above, along with the documents specified for the general group as well as the person belonging to the respective community.

(2) Of the candidates who have received at least 50 percent marks in the entrance examination conducted by the University of Kathmandu, according to this information, the qualification will be maintained on the basis of the qualification obtained by the University of Kathmandu as per the rules of general and reservation group of the Ministry.

(3) A brief notice of the qualification program maintained by the Ministry shall be published in the Gorkhapatra and on the website of the Ministry of Detailed Information.

Note 1: If the documents submitted for the reservation group are not uploaded in the online form, their application will be rejected by the reservation group and will be maintained by the general group. In addition, all the candidates who have applied for reservation will be automatically included in the list of general groups. 

Note 2: The above-mentioned documents must be uploaded when applying online. Requested and specified documents will be checked online and, if not corrected or lying, will be rejected before and after being listed on the merit list or automatically rejected if the eligibility order is determined.

Note 3: Candidates who have received the registration code by filling in the online form will be sent to the respective candidate's email after checking to confirm the registration.
