Secretary, Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration Government of Nepal

Dear Sir, Appreciating your support to our school during the past years, I am writing to seek your support again in organizing an information session on Thursday. August 6, 2020 to provide government officials with information about our two-year Master of Public Policy, International Program (MPP/IP), and scholarship opportunities.

The session will be online-based due on travel restrictions under the Covid-19 pandemic. We expect that the target audience consists of officials responsible for human resources development and prospective applicants for our program from ministries and agencies in the government of Nepal. GraSPP, established in 2004, educates mid-career professionals and students mostly aiming at public service careers. Since the start of MPP/IP in 2010, we have had 19 Nepalese nationals, mostly mid-career students from the government, enrolled in our program.

GraSPP has partnership arrangements with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and the IMF to broaden opportunities for promising professionals to study public policy. On top of the existing partnerships, we have been collaborating with JICA to attract prospective candidates for JICA's "SDGs Global Leader" program, which would enable eligible professionals from Nepal to study in Japan, including in our master's program. With your endorsement and guidance, we would like to coordinate with your staff on the program and logistics of the information session. I would appreciate your guidance and support and look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely yours,

Toshiro Nishizawa Professor / Chair, International Affairs Committee Graduate School of Public Policy (GraSPP) The University of Tokyo Attachment
