
Tribhuvan University Awards Notice – 66th Anniversary

Tribhuvan University is pleased to announce the awards established by various donors on the occasion of its 66th Anniversary. These awards are intended for postgraduate students of TU's institutes and faculties for the academic year 2080/081 (from Shrawan 2080 to Ashadh end 2081).
Students who meet the criteria listed under each award below should apply through their respective campuses/offices with all necessary documents within 15 days from the date of this notice. Applications must include two copies each of the thesis, personal details, passport-sized photograph, citizenship certificate, and academic qualification certificates (postgraduate transcript and degree certificate).
Relevant Dean’s Offices must forward all valid applications received within the deadline to the Coordination Division within 5 days. Applications that are incomplete or received after the deadline will not be considered. Only the best evaluated thesis will be awarded; others will be returned. TU reserves the final decision-making authority for the awards.
List of Awards
1. Shree Krishnachandra Regmi Award – Quota: 1

Must have completed a postgraduate thesis on a Nepal-related topic under the Institute of Science and Technology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Management, Education, or Law.

Cash prize: NPR 5,000 with certificate
2. Shree Maheshchandra–Mandebi Regmi Award – Quota: 1

Must have completed a postgraduate thesis in Economics or History under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Cash prize: NPR 20,001 with certificate
3. Shree Babukrishna Rijal Award – Quota: 1

Must have completed an outstanding postgraduate thesis in Nepali History, Culture, or Archaeology under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, graduating with first division.

Cash prize: NPR 25,001 with certificate
4. Beluvishweshwar Chataut Memorial Award – Quota: 2
(One each for Linguistics and Journalism)

Must be a postgraduate student in Linguistics or Journalism under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, enrolled through TU-affiliated constituent campuses for admission groups 2077–2079.

Must have passed all subjects in regular final exams conducted by TU in one attempt with top marks, and be eligible for or have participated in the 2080 convocation.

Students must be listed on the grace list.

Cash prize: NPR 25,000 per recipient with a certificate
Note:

A verified admission certificate from the concerned campus must be submitted.

Thesis submission is not required for this award.
