Its role is closely connected with local families, community investment and continuing efforts to support students from rural settlements in the surrounding service area.

Location and Community Setting
Shree Bagishwori Secondary School is located in Ka Gaun, Prithvibasti, Punarbas Municipality Ward No. 8, Kanchanpur. The school serves a rural area that includes settlements connected with the former Parasan Village Development Committee, now within Wards 7 to 9 of Punarbas Municipality.

The surrounding area is rural, with different types of housing, organized local roads and settlements that have become denser over time. The school-age population is visible across the area, and girls are reported to be more numerous than boys in schools on this side.
Historical Background
The school’s history is linked with the early settlement of Parasan and nearby areas of Punarbas. Local education supporters and community elders worked to establish a school so that children in the area could receive education close to home. A site was selected east of Parasan village, in a farming area near a riverbank and surrounded by forest.
In 2022 BS, Bagishwori Primary School was established in the area east of Parasan village. At first, Classes 1 to 3 were conducted. Over time, classes expanded up to Grade 7, and the school operated as Bagishwori Lower Secondary School.
Falgun 1 is observed each year as the school anniversary on the basis of its establishment date. Around 2029 BS, Shree Ganesh Primary School opened in Prithvibasti, where the school is currently located. Later, the lower secondary level of Bagishwori merged with Shree Ganesh Primary School in Prithvibasti. Shree Ganesh Primary School was then transformed into Bagishwori Lower Secondary School. The present school developed from this merger.
The school’s history also includes a fire on the night of Jestha 19, 2058 BS, which destroyed school records. The institution has continued through different stages of development and has been operating as a secondary school for 27 years.
