Microsoft Warns Webmail Users of Cyber Attack

Microsoft has warned many webmail users about the cyber activity. According to media reports, Microsoft has cautioned these users about the possible hacks of their e-mail accounts. Microsoft warned potential users of this attack via e-mail notifications on Saturday. Microsoft said that we know that some customers are threatening potential cyber-attacks in a web-based e-mail. This threat has arisen due to unauthorized access by cybercriminals to customers' accounts.

Microsoft has said that the credentials of one of its support agents have been accessed by cybercriminals, which is giving external access to Microsoft's servers. Because of that, Microsoft may get access to an email client account. This security breach has been made between 1 January 2019 and 28 March 2019. Due to this unauthorized access, some cybercriminals and hackers may have access to Microsoft's e-mail users' accounts, folder names, and subject lines.

However, Microsoft told that cybercriminals will not have access to the content of e-mail and attachments. It is also not known how many users of e-mails will be affected due to this Cyber Breach. Microsoft has expressed regret in front of users for this problem. Microsoft has assured its users that the affected account is being disabled immediately so that no further cyber-attacks are possible. Microsoft has also provided information about data protection officers for users affected by this cyber-attack so that users can secure their account with their help.
