Water Discovered on Moon

NASA Discovered Water on a Sunlit Surface of the Moon:

The US space agency NASA has said that water has been found on the surface of the moon. The Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA), operated by NASA and the German Aerospace Center, has found water in an area of the moon where the sun shines.

The Sofia is the world's largest flying observatory telescope attached to a flying plane.

Sophia found water in the moon's 'Clavius Crater'. Clavius Crater is located at the south pole of the moon. It can also be seen from Earth, according to a statement issued by NASA. NASA's research is also published in the journal Nature Astronomy.

Despite the small amount of water found, this is an important research achievement, NASA officials said. The water found here is 100 times less than the water found in the Sahara desert of the earth. Scientists are also interested in how water became possible in areas without air.

Scientists are excited about this new discovery. The discovery will also help NASA's 2024 Artemis mission, NASA said. For the first time, a woman is stepping on the moon from the Artemis mission. Under the same mission, NASA also plans to build a 'human base' on the moon to study other planets.

NASA has stated that there could be many reasons for finding water on the moon. Various energy and space events are also considered to be factors for this.

NASA suspects that 30 to 1 meter of celestial bodies (micrometeorites) falling on the moon may have caused water to fall on the moon. NASA has pointed out that water may be seen when such particles with water particles accumulate on the moon. Another reason is that solar storms bring hydrogen to the moon and chemically react with the elements that contain auxin to form hydroxyl on the surface of the moon. According to NASA, the microorganisms may have converted hydroxyl into water.

Regarding the storage of water in desert areas, NASA has stated that small bids may have accumulated in the ground. Another reason is that the water may have been hidden from direct light on the surface of the moon.
