Nepal Telecom NTTV Services:

Nepal Telecom has launched Internet-based television 'NTTV' service. Telecom has launched NTTV with the objective of providing various services to the customers through the same cable. NTC has been bringing high-speed internet service to NT TV through fiber. Telecom has started providing telephone, internet, and television services through Fiber to the Home FTTH from today.

NTC has expanded its fiber service to 39 districts. NT TV service has come into operation in various places of Kathmandu Valley and Banepa. Fiber service has reached Hattigaunda, Chhauni, Kirtipur, Balambu, Gothatar, Chabahil, Jorpati, Naxal, Thaib, Saibu, and Gwarko in Kathmandu Valley. NTC has stated that it will soon provide NT TV service outside the valley as well.

NTC has been providing high-speed internet facility to the customers through NTFiber for five years. NTC managed to connect high-speed internet to more customers than any other company in December. "Telecom has become the number one company in terms of making new customers for fiber," said Dilliram Adhikari, managing director of the company.

Until now, other Internet service providers have been providing only Internet and TV services. The managing director said that after connecting one wire in each house, the telecom has ended the obligation to connect another wire to get another service. The service launched by the telco will also help urban beauty.

He also said that NTC is working with the objective of 'one house, one fiber connection'. It will also help in the implementation of the 'Digital Nepal Framework', said the managing director. He also said that this service will be expanded across the country.

"This has proved to be a cornerstone for the implementation of the Digital Nepal Framework," he said. Stating that the telecom has gone from fiber ADSL to fiber service keeping in mind the demand of the customers, he said that they are ready to introduce the latest technology in the telecommunication sector.

Director of the Directorate of Customer Service, Anantram Singh Pradhan, said that NTC has been providing high-quality telephones and high-speed internet to the customers through fiber for the last five years.

NTTV Package Price:

The company has provided a TV service in two packages. The price of 15 Mbps Fiber Internet (Basic TV Package) with a single TV connection has been fixed at Rs 1,230 to Rs 13,220. Rs 1,220 for one month, Rs 3,530 for three months, and Rs 13,220 for one year.

Apart from the internet, the price of NT TV and free landline has been fixed at Rs 480 per month, Rs 1,450 for three months, and Rs 5,780 for one year. The price of fiber internet including premium NT TV has been fixed from Rs 1,400 to Rs 24,000. Fifteen Mbps Unlimited Internet, NT TV and Telephone (Free) is Rs. 1,400 for one month, Rs. 4,100 for three months and Rs. 15,000 for one year.

Thirty Mbps Unlimited Internet, NT TV, and Telephone (Free) Package Rs. 1,750 for one month, Rs. 5,000 for three months and Rs. 18,100 for one year, Rs. Rs. 19,700 has been fixed for one year.

According to him, the package of a package with 60 Mbps internet is Rs 2,450, Rs 7,200 for three months, and Rs 24,500 for one year. Telecom has also provided NT TV and telephone (free) packages. The package is priced at Rs 800 for one month, Rs 2,350 for three months, and Rs 8,300 for one year.

New customers should duly fill in the customer application form available on the website of Nepal Telecom or at the nearest telecom office and attach a photocopy of Nepali citizenship and a copy of the photo.

7) How often does NTTV connect to the nearest telecommunications office?

The service can be connected on the same day as soon as the amount is paid by submitting the documents for connection where technically possible.

8) What television channels or packages are available on NTTV and how much does it cost?

NTTV offers monthly, quarterly, and annual basic and premium packages. Compared to the channels available in the basic package and more channels are available in the premium package. 9) How many television sets can be run from one connection?

12) How much does it cost for a customer who is already using FTTH Internet?

Customers who already have internet or landline service through FTTH at home do not have to pay the connection fee, FTTH Router fee, and Set Top Box fee required for NTTV. Similarly, the remaining fee of the internet package can be adjusted in the fee for the package including NTTV and only the insufficient amount can be paid and the package with new NTTV can be activated.

For example, if a customer who has previously paid Rs 8,000 for an 8mbps One Year Internet Package wants to get a premium package of 15mbps Internet + TV + Free Telephone for one year after 6 months, the price of the new package will be Rs 15,000 for the remaining 6 months of the previous package. You can activate the new package for one year by paying Rs. 11,000 after deducting Rs. 4,000.

13) How to pay regular post-service charges?

The tariff can be paid by visiting the nearest Nepal Telecom counter or from the Nepal Telecom recharge card available in the market or using various electronic means from home.

14) If FTTH has internet, landline, and NTTV services, should I pay a lump sum or can it be done separately?

You have to pay the lump sum for the package you have taken.

15) What is the basis for assurance in the quality of NTTV service?

As this service is based on the latest fiber technology, the quality of service remains good. NTTV is not affected by weather disturbances like satellite television signals.
