Abt Associates seeks candidates for a long-term Technical Component Leads position for the anticipated USAID-funded Nepal Health Systems Strengthening Activity. The primary purpose of this activity is to strengthen the health system at the municipality, provincial, and federal levels, focused on maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH), to increase access and equity in health care. Qualified candidates will possess the qualifications listed below. Abt Associates actively seeks out candidates with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. Position: Technical Component Leads

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Chief of Party and other technical leads to oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of program interventions and outputs.
  • Oversee a team of technical specialists to deliver program technical results in a substantial and cost-effective manner
  • Coordinate and maintain working relationships with key project stakeholders (host country ministries, local government officials, and private sector partners) to develop public health capacity at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels, improve access to services, and increase the quality of health services.
  • Provide leadership and technical oversight to project staff and subcontractors.
  • Ensure high quality and timely reporting.
  • Ensure that project indicator and programmatic targets and USAID obligations are met.
