Application Details Published for Advertising Board Chairperson Post
The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has published the qualifications, required documents, and other details for applications to the post of Chairperson of the Advertising Board. According to the notice issued by the Ministry, applicants must meet the prescribed minimum academic qualifications, age limit, and other criteria.
The details specified in the notice are as follows:
1. Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:

Be a Nepali citizen.

Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in mass communication, law, advertising, or management from a recognised university and have at least 10 years of experience in the relevant field.

Have completed 35 years of age and not exceeded 65 years.

Not hold a permanent residence permit issued by a foreign country.
-
Not be disqualified under any prevailing law.
2. Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants holding a master’s degree or a higher academic qualification.

Preference will be given to applicants with additional experience in the relevant field.
3. Documents to Be Submitted with the Application
Applicants must submit:

An application, application form, and self-declaration prepared in accordance with the attached formats.

Copies of the Nepali citizenship certificate and National Identity Card.

A bio-data document specifying the applicant’s qualifications.

Copies of academic qualification certificates. Applicants with qualifications from foreign educational institutions must also submit an equivalence certificate.

Copies of documents clearly showing the duration of relevant experience.

Three sealed copies of a professional action plan consisting of 3,000 to 5,000 words, prepared in Nepali or English on A4-size paper.

Three sealed copies of a presentation based on the professional action plan and prepared for a maximum presentation time of 20 minutes. The applicant’s name must appear on the cover page, but no sign identifying the applicant may appear anywhere else.

One recently taken passport-size photograph.
Mandatory condition: Copies of academic qualification and experience certificates must be self-attested with the applicant’s signature. Copies of official documents confirming the applicant’s academic qualifications and experience must also be submitted with the application.

5. Other Application Provisions

No action will be taken on applications that are incomplete or are not received within the specified period.

The committee will retain the authority to approve or reject applications.

The notice states that the selection and nomination process will be conducted as determined under the relevant Act and Rules, the Guidelines on the Nomination of Office Bearers of Public Bodies Affiliated with the Ministry, 2083, and the Procedure on the Nomination of Office Bearers of Public Bodies Affiliated with the Ministry, 2083.
