Operations Assistant
The ADB-Nepal Resident Mission (NRM) was established to assist its Headquarters in the implementation of projects and programs, in project processing, country programming and economic and sector work. It also coordinates ADB's activities with other resident diplomatic and donor missions, NGOs, academic institutions. local think tanks, the private sector and other members of the civil society.
Appointment
- The contract will be until 31 December 2019, with the possibility of further extension.
Reporting Arrangement
- Supervisor: Designated International Staff and senior National Staff
Description of Responsibilities:
- To perform secretarial and clerical duties for Nepal Resident Mission (NRM), including organizing and maintaining records, contacting with the public, preparing correspondence and reports, assisting in visiting ADB missions and other appropriate functions as required.
Selection Criteria:
Specific criteria include
- Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience. preferably in a reputed institution
- Good typing skills; good knowledge of stenography preferred but not necessary Good computer skills with sound knowledge of common word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics software used in ADB
- Able to manage priorities and workload within the general schedule of work, instructions and standardized practices
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Able to liaise and work effectively with staff within own work location
- Able to work collaboratively with teams as a constructive team member
- Able to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds; good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to maintain composure under pressure
