Security Coordinator
The ADB-Nepal Resident Mission (NRM) was established to assist its Headquarters in the implementation of projects and programs, in project processing, country programming and economic and sector work. It also coordinates ADB's activities with other resident diplomatic and donor missions, NGOs, academic institutions, local think tanks, the private sector and other members of the civil society.
Appointment
The contract will be until 31 December 2019, with the possibility of further extension.
Reporting Arrangement
Supervisor: Designated International Staff and senior National Staff
Description of Responsibilities:
To ensure effective coordination, enhancement and implementation of security arrangements of the Nepal Resident Mission (NRM) for its staff, consultant, visitor and resident mission premises.
Selection Criteria:
Specific criteria include
- Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level
- Bachelor's degree preferably with advanced training
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience, including experience in security systems and procedures
- Previous experience as a Security Officer is highly desirable
- Training and experience as a Staff Officer is of advantage
- Strong analytical skills
- Good computer skills with sound knowledge of common word-processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheets analysis, E-mail, and other information technology
- Able to manage priorities and workload within the general schedule of work, instructions and standardized practices
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Able to liaise and work effectively with staff within own work location
- Able to work collaboratively with teams as a constructive team member
- Able to work with individuals from different cultural/ national backgrounds; good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to maintain composure under pressure
