Vacancy Announcement for DECAN Project: BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital (BPKMCH) is currently seeking qualified professionals for a Nepal-based project on cancer research in collaboration with the International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization (IARCWHO).
The project title is 'Delays in cancer diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care of adult and childhood cancers in Nepal (DECAN)'. This research project aims to (i) quantify the delays in cancer diagnosis and treatment occurring at patient and provider levels; (ii) identify the barriers to accessing diagnostic, treatment, and follow up care services and; (iii) assess the survival of patients diagnosed with common cancers (breast, lung, cervical, stomach, colorectal, and oral cancer) and childhood cancers, registered at the BPKMCH. This project will identify key priority areas to better organize services in the cancer diagnostic and care pathways.

Job description: The research associates will be involved in every step of the project implementation including data collection (based on cancer patient interviews, focused group discussions, and key informant interviews), data management, report writing, and scientific publications.
Eligibility: At least Bachelor's degree in public health, medicine, nursing, or biostatistics.
Desirable: Any previous research experience, preferably in cancer.
Skills required: MS Office and software packages such as Stata, R, and SPSS.
