Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Vacancy of Various Services on Contract Service: Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Head Office vacancy notice for contract service. Due to the need for expert manpower services to perform flight safety supervision in the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). Since the Civil Aviation Authority has to be appointed on contract for a maximum of one year as per the terms and conditions of service of the Civil Aviation Authority employees, Rules 4.11 (a) of 2056 and the guideline 2072 on the appointment of Flight Safety Supervision Specialist Manpower contract of Nepal Civil Aviation Authority; This information has been published for the Nepali citizens who have reached the following qualifications to submit a formal application to the NEA Head Office, Administration Department within 21 (twenty-one) days from the date of publication of this information. No action will be taken on the application which is not completed.

Position and Required No. Minimum Qualification and experience required
1. Senior Flight Operations Inspector, Jet Airplane - 1 (One)

a) Mandatory Qualification

  • Holds or has held Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) issued by CAAN with rating in a jet airplane being operated in Nepal.
  • Has at least 5000 hours of flight experience, including not less than 2000 hours as P-I-C on a jet airplane.
  • Holds or has held the qualification of an Instructor/Examiner pilot on a jet airplane.
  • No record of enforcement action during the last 5 years on a breach of safety regulation.

b) Additional Personal Attributes

  • Experience on flight operations functions of airline operator
  • Training or experience of Safety Management System
  • Training or experience of aircraft accident/incident investigation (preferable)
  • Knowledge of Operations Manual and safety audit (preferable)
  • Report writing skill

Note: Qualification, experience, and training higher than prescribed above shall be an advantage for the eligibility for this position.
2. Senior Flight Operations Inspector, Helicopter - 1 (One)

a) Mandatory Qualification

  • Holds or has held commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by CAAN with rating in helicopter being operated in Nepal.
  • Has at least a total of 5000 hours of flight experience, including not less than 2000 hours as P-I-C on civil or military operations.
  • Holds or has held the qualification of an Instructor/Examiner pilot on helicopter.
  • No record of enforcement action during last 5 years on breach of safety regulation.

b) Additional Personal Attributes

  • Experience on flight operations functions of airline operator
  • Training or experience of Safety Management System
  • Training or experience of aircraft accident/incident investigation (preferable)
  • Knowledge of Operations Manual and safety audit (Preferable)
  • Report writing skill

3. Cabin Safety Inspection - 1 (One)

a) Mandatory Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in any subject from the recognized university and obtained Cabin Crew Training from recognized aviation institution of ICAO Contracting State.
  • Holds or has held Cabin Crew Certificate from CAA or recognized institute of ICAO Contracting State.
  • At least 10 years of work experience in air transport operations including at least 5 years experience as a Cabin Crew in an airline operator.
  • No record of enforcement action during the last 5 years on a breach of safety regulation.

b) Additional Personal Attributes

  • Training or experience of cabin safety supervision
  • Training on Safety Management System (Preferable)
  • Report writing skill

Note: Qualification, experience, and training higher than prescribed above shall be an advantage for the eligibility for this position.

1) Place of application: Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Head Office, Department of Administration.

2) Application Fee: Rs. 1100

3) How to submit the application fee: The application form can be obtained from this office by submitting the gross voucher of the mentioned fee by clearly mentioning the name of the applicant in account no. 0010012611500043 of this authority in NMB Bank.

4) Type of examination: Interview only. The date and place of the interview will be decided later.

5) Age limit: The minimum age of inspector and the senior inspector should be 35 years and 45 years respectively.

6) Duration/place to work: 1 year / Department of Flight Safety Standards, Sinamangal.

7) Salary Facility: As per the guideline 2072 regarding appointment of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Flight Safety Supervision Specialist Manpower Agreement.

8) Documents to be submitted along with the application form: Certificate of Nepali citizenship, certificates of minimum qualifications and experience required for the post as mentioned above, Certificates of Character
