
CMC–Nepal: Psychosocial Workers (PSW) – Jajarkot & Rukum
Center for Mental Health and Counseling – Nepal (CMC–Nepal) is a national non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting mental health and psychosocial well-being.
The organization invites applications from qualified and interested candidates for the following position under the Karnali Earthquake Recovery (KER) project currently operating in Jajarkot and Rukum West districts of Karnali Province.
This program has been implemented in 2084 with financial and technical support from CBM Global.
Position Details
Position: Psychosocial Worker (PSW)
Required Number: 2 persons
Duration: 6 months
Location: Nalgaad Municipality (1) and Barekot Rural Municipality (1)
Key Responsibilities

Conduct supportive programs and activities to promote psychosocial safety and assistance at the community level.

Provide psychosocial and mental health support to at-risk groups, including women, children, adolescents, and persons with disabilities, and coordinate with implementing agencies.

Provide necessary psychosocial support at individual and community levels, and refer to appropriate institutions or professionals for mental health services and psychosocial counseling as required.

Implement community-level psychosocial support programs in collaboration with schools, adolescents, children, and local bodies.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or an equivalent qualification.

Priority will be given to women residing in the respective local municipalities or rural municipalities.

Preference for individuals capable of working actively in the community.

Preference for individuals with experience working with children or adolescents in schools.
