Electricity Regulatory Commission (Bidhyut Niyaman Aayog), Sanogaucharan, Kathmandu, Notice Regarding Filling Positions through Open and Inclusive Competitive Examination.
With the approval obtained from the Public Service Commission, applications are invited from eligible Nepali citizens to fill the following vacant posts at this Commission through open and inclusive competitive examination as per the Electricity Regulatory Commission Staff Administration Regulation, 2081. Eligible candidates may fill out the application form online through the Career Tab at www.erc.gov.np or directly via www.vacancy.erc.gov.np, pay the prescribed fee at the Commission’s current account number 00401010000498 maintained at Global IME Bank Ltd., Gyaneshwar Branch, and upload the voucher while applying online. This notice is published for the information of all concerned. The Public Service Commission will conduct the written examination.

Special Notice Regarding the Advertisement
As per the mandamus order dated 2079/10/24 of the Honorable Supreme Court with Writ No. 078-WO-0660, the inclusive group-related positions will be filled after necessary legal arrangements are made.
Exam Type:
As per the syllabus, there will be a written, computer skills test, and an interview.
Medium of Examination:
As specified in the syllabus (Nepali, English, or both).
Exam Center:
Kathmandu.
Written Exam Date:
After the PSC finalizes the schedule, it will be published on the websites of the Public Service Commission and the Electricity Regulatory Commission.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Officer Level 9 – Deputy Director (Electrical Group):
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and Master’s in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of officer-level experience in a government service, registered organization, or international agency as per prevailing law.
- For PhD holders, 2 years of experience is sufficient.
Officer Level 9 – Deputy Director (Hydropower Group):
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and Master’s in Hydropower, Hydropower Development, Hydropower Planning, Hydropower Development and Management, Water Resources Engineering, Water Resources Development Engineering, or Water Resources Engineering Management.
- Minimum 5 years of officer-level experience (3 years for PhD holders).
Officer Level 7 – Geologist:
- M.Sc. in Geology, Applied Geology, Engineering Geology, or Geological Engineering from a recognized institution.
Officer Level 7 – Hydrologist:
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Hydrology from a recognized institution.
Officer Level 7 – Engineer (Hydropower Group):
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Officer Level 7 – Engineer (Electrical Group):
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Officer Level 7 – Finance Officer:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Economics from a recognized institution.
Officer Level 7 – IT Officer:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology from a recognized institution.
Officer Level 7 – Environmental Officer:
- Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Management from a recognized institution.
Officer Level 7 – Legal Officer:
- Bachelor’s in Law from a recognized institution.
Officer Level 6 – Assistant Administrative Officer:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution.
Assistant Level 5 – Senior Assistant:
Certificate level (10+2 or SLC equivalent) from a recognized institution.

Must not be disqualified under the Electricity Regulatory Commission Staff Administration Regulation, 2081.

Age, qualification, training, and inclusion certificate will not be calculated for the extended (double fee) period.

Separate application forms must be submitted for each post.

The application fee will not be refunded unless the advertisement is canceled.

Applications with incomplete documents, without the minimum qualifications or required experience, or without proper payment will not be accepted.

The final authority for approval or rejection of applications rests with the Recruitment Committee.

Matters not included in this notice shall be governed by the Electricity Regulatory Commission Staff Administration Regulation, 2081, and other applicable laws.
