For our global digital transformation and IT department we are looking for a Data Engineer located in Kathmandu, Nepal to join our organisation as per July 2025 or upon agreement. Data Engineer
Your main tasks:

Conceptualize, build, manage, and maintain the data infrastructure at Helvetas.

Design and develop data pipelines to transform raw data into usable formats for analysis and applications.

Ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and timely availability for diverse users and applications.

Implement and uphold data security and protection standards.

Work with Microsoft Azure and its Data Platform tools (e.g., Fabric) to build a robust data infrastructure from the ground up.

Collaborate with projects and business units to ensure seamless data integration and alignment with business goals.

Leverage extensive experience with Azure and its Data Platform to drive efficient data solutions.

Stay updated with the latest developments in data engineering and Azure technologies.

Continuously improve the data infrastructure to meet evolving business needs.
Required Education and Experience:
Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure and Data Engineering, 3 years proven experience in data engineering and working with Microsoft Azure and its Data Platform solutions, Proven Experience in conceptualising, designing and implementing data infrastructure from scratch, Proven Experience maintaining and operating Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lakes, lake Houses and Datawarehouses, Proficiency in data management and analysis tools especially PowerBI, Proven experiences in building, deploying and maintaining ETL/ELT Pipelines on Azure, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, Operate as a standalone expert in the role, requiring strong independence and initiative. Work in an internationally distributed team.

Duration: Initially three years with a possibility of extension.
