HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal. Nepal Agricultural Services Development Programme, Prayas is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland and implemented by theHELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal. Prayas also provides Technical Assistance to Agriculture Sector Development Programme (ASDP) of Government of Nepal and International Fund for Agricultural Development in Karnali State. Position: Monitoring and Knowledge Management Coordinator Duty station: Prayas/ HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal, Lalitpur with field visits as Required This position is responsible to establish an effective Monitoring and Knowledge Management System and ensure for the appropriate ways and means to disseminate the knowledge products along with the capacity building of Prayas team and partners in monitoring and information management. Required Education, Experience and Social Competence: Master's Degree in Rural Development, Communication or other relevant disciplines. Minimum 5 years of working experience in monitoring and information management. Working experience in knowledge management and with media houses would be an added advantage. Position: Local Agriculture Coordinator (17 positions; at least 6 will be for a suitable woman candidate) Duty station: Field offices of State -1 (Khotang, Udayapur, and Okhaldunga) and Karnali State (Dailekh, Salyan, Western Rukum, Jajarkot, Kalikot, Jumla, Mugu, Surkhet, Dolpa, and Humla) This position is responsible for facilitating decentralized and pluralistic agriculture extension and research system in respective Rural Municipality and Municipality. S/he will support Rural Municipalities/Municipalities for formulating local policies, guidelines, sectorial annual and periodic plans, and their implementation. S/he is responsible for strengthening local level stakeholder relations, collaboration and fund flow management. Required Education, Experience and Social Competence: Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture (B.Sc. Position: Cluster Coordinator Duty station: Cluster Support Unit, Sindhuli or Ramechhap with frequent travel to local levels This position is responsible to manage cluster level project implementation including partnership development and fund flow. S/he is responsible for facilitating Rural Municipalities and Municipalities for institutionalizing decentralized and pluralistic agriculture extension and research system. S/he will ensure networking and coordination with respective agencies and stakeholders for alignment of services to federalized mechanisms. Required Education, Experience and Social Competence: Master's degree in Agriculture or Natural Resource Management; Minimum 5 years of working experience in project/programme implementation with 3 years of working experience in agriculture research and extension specific projects or relevant subject. Working experience with multiple actors specially of local governments, line agencies, academic institutions, private sectors, and farmer's groups is an advantage. Position: Programme Coordinator Duty station: Surkhet, Karnali State with frequent travel to local levels This position is responsible for partnership management to ensure effective agriculture extension services to the members of Water User Associations (WUAs) and farmers in the completed Small Irrigation Project schemes of the respective state. S/he will support Rural Municipalities and Municipalities to establish decentralized and pluralistic agriculture extension and research system. S/he will ensure coordination with relevant State Government Agencies and respective agriculture, livestock and cooperative offices at local levels. Required Education, Experience and Social Competence: Master's degree in Agriculture or Natural Resource Management; Minimum 5 years of working experience in project/programme implementation with 3 years of working experience in agriculture research and extension specific projects or relevant subject. Working experience with multiple actors specially of local governments, line agencies, academic institutions, private sectors, and farmer's groups is an advantage. Position: Senior Finance Officer Duty station: State Support Unit, Itahari/Biratnagar with frequent travel to local levels This position is responsible to ensure an effective financial management of State Support Unit (SSU) of Prayas of the State as per HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal policy manuals. S/he is also responsible for supporting and monitoring the local levels/partners in the financial management aspect. Required Education, Experience and Social Competence: Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent and major in finance/accounting is preferred; Minimum 5 years' of work experience with finance and accounting responsibility in a similar position preferably in I/NGO.
