Kathmandu Metropolitan City Service-Contract Vacancy 2082

Kathmandu Metropolitan City (Office of the Municipal Executive, Kamaladi, Kathmandu, Bagmati Province, Nepal) invites applications from eligible candidates to work on a contract basis against temporary positions, in accordance with the Local Service (Formation and Operation) Act, 2079 issued by the Bagmati Government and the Procedure for Filling Contract Positions, 2079 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Submit applications through the online system at www.kathmandu.gov.np within 15 (fifteen) days from the date of this notice. The application fee is NPR 300 per advertisement (non-refundable). Eligibility: Municipal Police Constable (Fire Controller)

1. Documents: Copy of citizenship certificate and copies of educational qualification certificates possessed.

2. Age: Completed 21 years and not exceeding 40 years by the last application date.

3. Experience Basis: Former personnel of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, or Armed Police Force who resigned/retired and worked in fire control, as well as experienced persons who have worked in national or international fire control, may apply. Work-experience qualification is mandatory.

4. Preference: More than 5 years of experience in fire control will be given preference.

5. Disclosure: In terms of experience, the applicant must disclose that they were not penalized by the previous employing organization.

Eligibility: Light Vehicle Driver

1. Citizenship and Literacy: Nepali citizenship certificate; able to read and write simple text.

2. Medical Fitness: Medical fitness certificate from an authorized physician (issued within 3 months from the notice date).

3. Eyesight: Vision not worse than −2.00 or +2.00.

4. Age: Completed 21 years and not exceeding 40 years by the last application date.

5. License: Valid light vehicle driver’s license.

Eligibility: Municipal Police Office Assistant

1. Citizenship and Education: Nepali citizenship certificate; at least Grade 8 passed.

2. Age: Completed 18 years and not exceeding 35 years by the last application date.

Selection Process

1. Application Form: Verification of submission of documents as per the prescribed criteria.

2. Skill Test: As required.

3. Interview: For final selection.

Contract Period and Remuneration

• Contract Period: 6 months (renewable).

• Remuneration: As per the starting pay scale available for the specified post.

• Other Facilities: As per the prevailing procedures related to contract service of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
