Required Qualification
Interested candidates for Nagar Prahari posts should fulfill the following qualifications:
- Must be a Nepalese citizen.
- Age: Not exceeding 18 years and not exceeding 25 years for Nagar Prahari Sahay Nirikshak and Nagar Prahari Hawaldar. For Nagar Prahari Jawan, the age should not exceed 18 years for male and female candidates.
- Educational Qualification: Proficiency certificate level (12) should be passed for Nagar Prahari Sahayak Nirikshak, SLC or equivalent for Nagar Prahari Hawaldar, and basic level for police jawan. However, educational qualification is not applicable for ex-soldiers.
- Preference will be given to those who have obtained ex-military and police and driver's license.
- Must not have been convicted in criminal charges showing moral turpitude.
- Should not have been dismissed for the purpose of being disqualified for government employment in the future.
- Height, Chest, and Weight: Height at least 5 feet 2 inches for men, chest at least 31-33, weight at least 50 KG and in case of women: height at least 5 feet, weight at least 42 KG.
- A health certificate issued by a recognized health institution should be submitted.
- Eyes should not be weaker than -2 or +2.
Selection Process and Required Documents
The selection process for managing the city police will be as per 2079. Interested candidates should submit their personal details, attested copy of educational qualification, attested copy of Nepalese citizenship certificate, and attested copy of experience along with the application. All copies should be signed and certified by the candidate.
