Application Called for Development Commissioner at KVDA
The Secretariat of the Recommendation Committee under the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of Nepal, has invited applications for the post of Development Commissioner at the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority.
According to the notice published on Baisakh 17, 2083 BS, applications have been invited from interested and eligible candidates, as the post is to be filled through open competition.
The Ministry stated that the notice has been published in accordance with the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority Act, 2045 BS; the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority Rules, 2068 BS; and the Directive on Appointment and Nomination of Officials of Public Bodies Affiliated with the Ministry of Urban Development, 2076 BS.
Interested candidates must submit their applications within office hours, in the format prescribed in Schedule-2 of the directive, within 21 days from the date of publication of the notice. If the last day for submission falls on a public holiday, the application form may be submitted on the next working day immediately after the holiday.
Required Qualification
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Must be a person currently working or having worked in a Special Class or higher post, or a reputed person in the relevant field, namely Civil Engineering or Urban Planning.

Must have passed at least a master’s degree from a recognized university in Civil Engineering or Urban Planning, a subject related to the nature of work of the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority.

Must have completed 30 years of age.

Must have at least 5 years of work experience in a managerial capacity in the Government of Nepal, or in a public enterprise or body established with full or partial investment of the Government of Nepal, or in an institution or body established under the prevailing company law.

Must not be disqualified under Section 4 of the Directive on Appointment and Nomination of Officials of Public Bodies Affiliated with the Ministry of Urban Development, 2076 BS.
Remuneration and Benefits
Remuneration and benefits will be as prescribed by the Government of Nepal.
