Terms and Conditions

For Professor

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject

• 5 years' experience as Associate Professor

• At least 2 articles (1 as first author, 1 as co-author) in indexed/peer-reviewed journals

For Associate Professor

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject

• 5 years' experience as Assistant Professor or 13 years total experience

• At least 2 articles (1 as first author, 1 as co-author) in indexed/peer-reviewed journals

For Assistant Professor

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject

• 3 years’ experience as Lecturer

• At least 2 articles (1 as first author, 1 as co-author) in indexed/peer-reviewed journals

For Lecturer

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject

• Articles not mandatory

Additional Information

• Contract period: Until the end of Ashadh 2083; extendable based on performance unless the Public Service Commission recommends permanent staff

• Work location: As designated by the Academy

• Must be registered with the respective Health Professional Council (Specialist level)

• Application fee:

  Professor/Associate Professor – NPR 2500
  Lecturer – NPR 2000

• Age limit: As per the guidelines of the Medical Education Commission for academic and research programs

Equivalency Note

• Degrees and positions from recognized universities or equivalent institutions will be evaluated for equivalency by the Academy.
