Types of Exams: Written and Interview. (In case of written examination, only 50 multiple choice questions will be asked from the prescribed syllabus).
Application Fee: The fee for the seventh level of Nepal Engineering Service will be Rs. 1000 (one thousand rupees) and for the fifth level Rs. 400 (four hundred rupees). Required Documents: Certified copies of Certificate of Educational Qualification 1/1, Certified Copies of Citizenship Certificate 1, Original Receipt of Submission of Application Fee, and Certificate of Registration of Nepal Engineering Council for the post of Seventh Level.
The age limit of the candidate: Not exceeding 35 years till the last date of application after completing 21 years in case of Seventh Level, not exceeding 40 years in case of women; And in case of assistant level, not exceeding 35 years till the last date of application after completing 18 years, in case of not exceeding 40 years.
Job Description: As prescribed in the Procedure for Recruitment of Technical Staff of Engineering Services on Contract, 2077.
Salary: Seventh level monthly Rs. 37,870 / - and fifth-level monthly Rs. 28,200 / -
Date and place of written examination: 7th level: 2077-09-25 at 11:00 am and 5th level: 2077-09-25 at 3:00 pm. The examination will be posted on the website of the Central Ministry.
Note: Candidates wishing to apply for all the three posts of Sub-Engineer / Civil, Lab Technician, and Water & Sanitation Technician for the fifth tier will have to submit a separate application and the result will be published from the same written examination. - ENGINEER / CIVIL (7th): The second section (Part II) and the second paper of the open competitive examination syllabus of Gazetted Third Class posts of General Highway, Irrigation, Sanitary and Airport subgroups under Nepal Engineering Service, Civil Group as determined by the Public Service Commission.
- Engineer / Building and Architect (Fifth): The second section (Part II) and the second paper of the open competitive examination syllabus for the posts of Nepal Engineering Service, Civil Group, Building and Architect, Gazetted Third Class as determined by the Public Service Commission.
- Sub-Engineer / Civil (Fifth): The syllabus of open competitive examination for the posts of General Engineering, Irrigation, Sanitary and Airport sub-groups of the Nepal Engineering Service, Civil Group as determined by the Public Service Commission.
- Sub-Engineer / Building and Architect (Fifth): The syllabus of open competitive examination for the posts of “Nepal Engineering Service, Civil Group, Building and Architect, Gazetted First Class” as determined by the Public Service Commission.
- Mechanical Supervisor / Senior Mechanics (Fifth): The syllabus of open competitive examination for the posts of “Nepal Engineering Service, Mechanical Group, General Mechanical Sub-Group, Gazette Unnumbered First Class” as determined by the Public Service Commission.

Minimum educational qualifications required:
- Engineer / Civil (Seventh): Passed Bachelor level in Civil Engineering subject from a recognized educational institution, or equivalent and registered with the Nepal Engineering Council.
- Engineer / Building and Architect (7th Level): Passed Bachelor level or equivalent in Building and Architect from a recognized educational institution and registered with the Nepal Engineering Council.
- Sub-Engineer / Civil (Fifth): Passed Certificate of Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized educational institution or equivalent.
- Sub-Engineer / Building and Architect (5th): Passed Proficiency Certificate (Diploma) or similar in Building and Architect from a recognized educational institution.
- Mechanical Supervisor / Senior Mechanics (Fifth): Passed Certificate of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized educational institution.
- Lab Technician (Fifth): Passed Proficiency Certificate (Diploma) or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized educational institution.
- Water and Sanitation Technician (KhaPaSaTe) (Fifth): Passed Proficiency Certificate (Diploma) or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized educational institution.
