
Insurance Authority Chairperson Vacancy 2082
Government of Nepal, Ministry of Finance, Notice regarding filling the post of Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Nepal Insurance Authority (Nepal Beema Pradhikaran) through the Recommendation Committee.
The vacant post of Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Nepal Insurance Authority will be filled through open competition. Therefore, eligible Nepali citizens with the following qualifications are informed to submit sealed applications within seven (7) days from the date of first publication of this notice during office hours to the Financial Sector Management and Institution Coordination Division, Ministry of Finance, Singha Durbar, Kathmandu.
1. Required Qualifications and Experience

As per Section 8, Sub-section (1) (a) of the Insurance Act, 2079: Must have at least a Master’s degree or equivalent in Insurance, Monetary Studies, Banking, Commerce, Management, Public Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Law, and at least five years of high-level managerial work experience in the related field.

Must have high moral character.

Not disqualified as per Sub-section (3) of Section 8 of the same Act.

As per the Standards for Appointment and Nomination of Officials and Members of Public Bodies under the Ministry of Finance, 2073 (including the second amendment): Must be at least 30 years of age and not older than 65 years, and must not fall under the following disqualifications:

Non-Nepali citizen.

Convicted of corruption, money laundering, human trafficking, drug trafficking, crimes related to archaeological objects or protected wildlife, or other criminal offenses involving moral turpitude.

Blacklisted under prevailing law, and three years have not passed since removal from the blacklist.

Holder of permanent residency in a foreign country.

In the case of Chief Executive, involved in any contract or agreement with a public body.

Mentally unsound.

2. Process of Application Submission and Documents to be Attached

The application must be submitted along with documents and details as per Section 3 of the “Procedure for Recommendation for Appointment to the Post of Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Nepal Insurance Authority, 2082” published on the website of the Ministry of Finance (www.mof.gov.np). Applicants must self-certify the documents and attach two copies of passport-size photographs.

As per Section 5 of the above-mentioned Procedure, four copies of a professional work plan must also be submitted in sealed envelopes. The name of the applicant must be written on the outside of the envelope, and the application and professional work plan must be sealed separately and signed.
3. Application Fee
Applicants must deposit NPR 7,500/- (in words: Seven Thousand Five Hundred Rupees only) in the name of the Ministry of Finance at Rastriya Banijya Bank Ltd., Singha Durbar Branch, as follows:

4. Remuneration
The monthly salary, allowances, facilities, and other terms of service of the Chairperson will be as prescribed.

The Recommendation Committee reserves the right to cancel any application received under this notice, with or without providing any reason.

If any applicant submits false details or documents, the application will be canceled and action will be taken under the prevailing law.
