Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) Vacancy for Engineering Services

Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is providing Technical Assistance (TA) to the Government of Nepal (GoN) for the implementation of the Motorable Local Roads Bridge Programme, Phase-IV in all 7 provinces.

CIAS-MEH JV, on behalf of SDC, provides TA through the Local Roads Bridge Support Unit (LRBSU), invites applications from interested and qualified Nepali nationals for the following positions:

1. Positions (numbers required): Provincial Bridge Engineers (Design, Contracts management, and Quality assurance) - (9)

• Term & Location: Fixed term till December 2024, based in the Provinces and its site offices
• Brief Job Description (Refer to detail ToR): Overall coordination with PBC and the concerned entities for bridge design, drawings and estimates on the provincial road network, manage technical officers in the field of bridge design, construction supervision and contract management
• Key qualification requirements: BE in civil engineering with minimum 3 years' experience in various aspects of bridge engineering design and construction management.

2. Positions (numbers required): Technical and Social Safeguard Officers - (35)

• Term & Location: Fixed term till December 2024, based in the Provinces and its site offices
• Brief Job Description (Refer to detail ToR): Overall support in construction supervision of motorable bridges as per the designs and drawings in provinces, contractual communication with the contractors, compile progress monitoring of a bridge construction site.
• Key qualification requirements: Intermediate/Diploma degree in Civil Engineering with 4 years' experience in the field of rural transport infrastructure, preferably in bridges.
