Vacancy Notice from Nalgad Municipality Office, Dalli, Jajarkot, Karnali Province

In collaboration with the Government of Nepal, the Government of Finland, and Nalgad Municipality, applications are invited from eligible Nepali citizens to fill the following contractual service positions under the Sustainable WASH for All (SUSWA) project, which is being implemented within the municipality.

Interested candidates are requested to submit their application along with personal details within 15 days from the date of this notice.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Technical Facilitator (Ad No. SUSWA-1-082-083) – 1 Position

Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the WASH sector, including survey, design, estimation, supervision, and evaluation.
Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Skilled in report writing and familiar with AutoCAD and related software.
Strong facilitation and social mobilization skills.
Prior work experience with donor or local government projects is highly preferred.
Preference will be given to local applicants.

SSC Facilitator (Ad No. SUSWA-2-082-083) – 1 Position

Pre-Diploma/TSLC in Civil Engineering with a minimum 5 years of experience in rural water and sanitation or
Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Experience in the maintenance of water supply infrastructure, implementation, and monitoring in rural areas.
Knowledge of Nepal's WASH sector policies and rural water management.
Proficient in data handling and analysis.
Skilled in the survey and implementation of water supply schemes.
Capable of conducting functionality assessments, cost estimation, and evaluations.
Familiarity with local mechanisms and infrastructure in WASH.
Committed to gender equality and social inclusion.
Results-oriented and able to follow monthly work plans.
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
Skilled in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Able to analyze basic data and write reports.
Knowledge of N-WASH and capable of handling mobile apps in the field.
Preference given to those with relevant experience in donor or local government programs.
Local applicants will be prioritized.

WASH Technician (Ad No. SUSWA-3-082-083) – 3 Positions

At least TSLC in Civil Engineering from CTEVT or
30-day training in WASH from a recognized institution.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the WASH sector.
Independently completed at least 5 gravity-flow water supply projects.
Experience in social mobilization and training facilitation.
Priority will be given to local candidates.

Social Mobilizer (Ad No. SUSWA-4-082-083) – 1 Position

At least a certificate-level qualification from a recognized institution/university in Nepal.
Minimum 2 years of experience in social mobilization or community development in rural areas.
At least 1 year of experience in water, sanitation, and hygiene projects.
Training in WASH and social mobilization.
Experience working under the local government in donor-funded projects.
Preference will be given to local candidates.

Written and oral examinations
A computer test will also be conducted for the Technical Facilitator and SSC Facilitator positions
