Finance and Administration Officer:

Titre Milke Jaljale Complex Conservation Project (TMJCCP) (Based in Basantapur, Terhathum)

Major Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator and Project Manager, TMJCCP and technical supervision of the Deputy Director - Program Administration, the Finance and Administration Officer, TMJCCP will carry out all operational tasks in the field ensuring compliance with the Project Operation Manual, donor conditions and financial regulations of the Government of Nepal. The F&A Officer works in close coordination with all major partners and other stakeholders from local to central levels to ensure maximum project output.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Management/Finance and Administration is required with at least 3 years of relevant working experience in the field or a project. Working with TALLY software will be an added advantage. S/he must have a thorough knowledge of computerized accounting systems with an attention to detail, the ability to keep accurate financial records, and effectively prioritize work under time constraints. S/he must be skilled in Microsoft office package. Strong interpersonal and team-player skills are essential.

Program Officer - Freshwater (Based in Kathmandu)

Major Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Water Resources Specialist, the Program Officer - Freshwater will be responsible for providing technical inputs and implementation of the water-related projects that contribute to WWF's Freshwater Goal. S/he will support the Freshwater team in areas related to protecting and restoring critical freshwater habitats, conserving freshwater biodiversity, water resources management practices prevailing in Nepal (Integrated River Basin Management) and river connectivity. S/he will be directly involved in implementing, reporting and documenting lessons on WWF's freshwater projects and programs in the field on a quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis. The candidate must also be able to work with other thematic goals and cross-cutting themes of WWF. The candidate must be willing to travel and work in remote areas both in the Terai and mountains.

Qualifications: A Master's degree preferably in Freshwater Ecology, IRBM, IWRM, NRM, Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, and Biodiversity Conservation or related field with at least 3 years of experience in freshwater ecosystem conservation, environment and policy work, including demonstrated experience in managing basin level programs, staff and budgets is required. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of freshwater ecology, freshwater ecosystem modeling, sustainable hydropower, Integrated River Basin Management, integrated watershed management. Proven experience in working with governments, aid agencies, civil society, and NGOs. Proven track record and skills in social mobilization and working with communities.

Research and Field Program Associate, Mountain (Based in Kathmandu with 8o% field travel)

Major Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of Senior Research Officer, the Research and Field Program Associate will support planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the assigned wildlife projects of SHL and other priority areas in the mountains. H/She will maintain a good working relationship with the wildlife unit and cross-cutting units of WWF Nepal, government partners and civil society organizations. The position is largely field based with occasional visits to the main office in Kathmandu.

Qualifications: A Bachelors' in Forestry science, Natural Resource Management (NRM), Environmental Science or a related field is required with at least 2 years of experience in research, NRM and community-based conservation. This position requires strong commitment and motivation, frequent travel to the field, ability to implement research programs and track programmatic activities.

Finance & Compliance Associate, CHAL, Hariyo Ban Program (Based in Pokhara)

The Hariyo Ban Program is a USAID-funded five-year initiative implemented in Terai Arc Landscape and Chitwan-Annapurna Landscape, running from July 2016 to July 2021. Led by WWF Nepal and implemented by four consortium partners, the program addresses biodiversity threats and climate vulnerability with the goal of increased ecological and community resilience.

Major Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of Finance & Administration Officer, Chitwan Annapurna Landscape (CHAL), the Finance & Compliance Associate will be responsible for providing financial and compliance support to the program office including financial planning, preparation of grants and consultancies & reporting for Hariyo Ban Program. The F&C Associate will support sub-awardees to meet the Hariyo Ban Program compliance requirement and support the program in financial monitoring of grantees.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a relevant degree with a thorough knowledge of computerized accounting systems with at least 2 years of experience in a similar position. USAID experience is desirable.
