
Urgent Recruitment for Japan Anti Tuberculosis Association (JATA) Nepal Office
JATA is implementing the project titled “Health Promotion of Urban Poor and Vulnerable Population through Integrated Screening at Health Facilities and Mobile Screening in Community,” funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Japan under the Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects.
We are seeking the following one voluntary position (with no salary and benefits)
Position: Project Coordinator
Location: Japan Anti-Tuberculosis Association (JATA) Nepal Office
Job Description:
As the Project Coordinator, the selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Director of Department of International Programs and be responsible for project operations and managing the Nepal office together with the Nepal Country Director. The role involves working closely with local staff and partner organizations, and includes a broad range of duties such as:

Managing the project and Nepal office operations

Preparing project applications and reports (in Japanese and English)

Coordinating with related institutions including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-Japan, Embassy of Japan, Nepal, and Nepalese governmental bodies

Liaising with local government agencies, international organizations, and other NGOs

Coordinating with JATA Headquarters

Presenting project results at reporting sessions, academic conferences, and in scholarly journals

Other tasks as required by the Department
Qualifications & Requirements:

Medical doctor with Master Degree in Public Health and over 15 years of work experience in the public health field

Experience in tuberculosis control in developing countries; ability to interpret chest X-rays is preferred

Japanese language Proficiency Test N1 (most advanced)
