World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), an international Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following position:

  1. Position: Youth Development Field Coordinator (One)-based in Central Field Office, Lalitpur (Mid of Sep 2018- April 2019)

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Youth Development Field Coordinator position will closely work with Resilience Coordinator managing Youth Development project portfolio of WVIN's Field Office in compliance with WVIN's sectoral and quality standards, Government's policies and industry norms The role will be responsible for managing and monitoring the performance of partner NGOs, ensuring that partner NGOs have access to appropriate technical and functional support, and managing relationships with sectoral key stakeholders including Local Governments. This position is based in WVIN's Central Field Office and will be required to travel monthly to support each of WVIN's Area Programs in various parts of the country (up to 60% of time).

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies required for the position:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Youth Development/and Economic Development related field (Master's preferred) from recognised university with at least 3 years of experience in Youth Economic Development related program management for INGO, NGO or Government; Must have technical knowledge on Youth Development technical programming, including a strong emphasis on Youth Economic Development; Good understanding of Youth Development programming that takes an empowerment approach including community-led activities and advocacy; Should have understanding of programme logic, programme design, and programme cycle including project planning, design, monitoring, evaluation; Knowledge of World Vision's Technical Programme in Youth Development and organizational policies and standards is preferred; Should have strong project management skills including the ability to plan and budget; manage performance of partners and contractors; monitor, evaluate and communicate results; think strategically and analytically; solve problems; and make appropriate and timely decisions; Good experience in developing project technical designs including logframes, ITTs, detailed implementation plans, Experience in preparing and leading training workshops; Experience of working in a rural or remote district of Nepal; Experience in developing grant technical project proposals; World Vision's experience in development programmes is preferred , Excellent oral and written English & Nepali; Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications including use of Office 365, SharePoint; Ready to take initiatives and willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility; Good interpersonal, problem solving & time management skills; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently; Strategic, creative, innovative thinking with decision making skills; Good understanding of humanitarian Sector.
