Diploma, PCL Level Full Paying Admission Entrance Notice CTEVT:

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), through its Examination Control Office in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, has announced an urgent notice regarding the application process for full-fee entrance examinations. This pertains to the approved diploma and certificate level programs for the academic year 2080/081.

Technical Education in CTEVT (TECS) and private level educational institutions, which have been approved by the Council for the academic session of 2080/081, are requested to adhere to these guidelines.

Understanding the Guidelines

Applicants are urged to review the guidelines pertaining to student admission in the approved curriculum and the eligibility of students to leave. These guidelines can be found under the title "Diploma and Certificate Level Entrance Examination Conduct, Scholarship Distribution, and Admission Guidelines 2080," available at www.ctevtexam.org.np.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Pre-Alphabetic System Entrance Examination Eligibility:

    • For PCL Nursing: Candidates must have passed the SLC or equivalent examination with compulsory Mathematics, English, and Science subjects. This should be from a recognized educational institution with a minimum of 2nd class or 45% aggregate marks. Alternatively, candidates having passed SLC and obtained 68.33 percent marks in the total marks in technical SLC/Pre-Diploma related to the program conducted by the council are eligible.
    • For Programs other than PCL Nursing: Candidates must have passed the SLC or equivalent examination with compulsory Mathematics, English, and Science subjects from a recognized educational institution. Alternatively, obtaining 68.33 percent marks in the total marks of the technical SLC/Pre-Diploma level related to the program conducted by the council also makes them eligible.

Post-Alphabetic System Entrance Examination Eligibility

The entrance examination requirements have been updated following the introduction of the alphabetic grading system. Here are the updated requirements:

  1. For Health Programs:

    • Candidates must have a minimum 2.0 GPA out of 4.0 overall, with a minimum graded score of 2.0 GPA in compulsory English, Mathematics, and Science subjects in the entrance or SEE examination. This must be from a recognized educational institution. Alternatively, having obtained 68.33 percent marks in aggregate marks in the relevant Technical SLC/Pre-Diploma level from the Council also qualifies a candidate for admission.
  2. For all Programs other than Health:

    • Candidates must have a minimum 1.6 GPA out of 4.0 in compulsory English, Mathematics, and Science subjects in the entrance or SEE examination from a recognized educational institution or its equivalent. Alternatively, having received and passed with 68.33 percent marks in the total marks in the technical SLC/Pre-Diploma level of the related program conducted by the council is acceptable.

Full-Fee Open and Target Category Quotas

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) is committed to creating an inclusive educational environment. This is evident through the implementation of full-fee open quotas and target category quotas.

  1. Full-Fee Open Quota:

    • This quota is open to all eligible candidates who wish to pursue diploma and certificate level programs at CTEVT.
  2. Full-Fee Target Category Quota:

    • CTEVT has established specific quotas to provide opportunities for those who may have been traditionally underrepresented or disadvantaged. This includes individuals from the following groups:
      • Handicapped
      • Backward Remote Areas
      • Dalits
      • Women
      • Tribal Tribes
      • Muslims
      • Madheshi
      • Victims of the People's Movement/People's War/Conflict
      • Displaced or Missing Martyrs Family/Injured or their Descendants from the Madhesh Movement.

These target category quotas for full fees have been determined for each educational program. The specific number of allocated spots is mentioned in the schedule.
