The policy and program of the Sudurpashchim province government for the fiscal year 2079/80 has been presented on Sunday. province Chief Devraj Joshi presented the policy and program in the provincial assembly. It has been mentioned in the policy and program that the provincial government will allocate the budget in the provincial development plan. While formulating the annual budget, it has been mentioned that the code related to gender-responsive, sustainable development goals and climate adaptation will be adopted.
Similarly, priority has been given in the budget allocation to implement the projects of province pride and multi-year continuous and incomplete plans that are currently in operation.
In order to contribute to economic development and poverty alleviation, enterprise development, employment and self-employment programs, industrial manpower production, and capacity building programs will be implemented. It has been mentioned that an investment-friendly environment will be created and an investment conference will be organized by making necessary policy and legal arrangements to attract domestic and foreign investment.
It is mentioned that a policy will be taken to maintain austerity in public expenditure and not to purchase vehicles except the most essential ones. It is provided in the policy and program of the government to expand the scope of internal revenue growth tax and make the existing rate up-to-date. It is mentioned that a revenue policy will be formulated and implemented to further strengthen the internal revenue by identifying the revenue mobilization area.
It is mentioned that skill-based training and concessional interest rate loans will be provided to the youths returning from foreign employment, conflict-affected, injured, disabled, martyr's family, single woman, freed Kamaiya, Kamalari, Haliya, Dalit, Wadi, Raute, Raji and other youth living below the poverty line.
It is mentioned in the policy and program that agricultural production will be increased, import substitution of agricultural commodities, and export promotion will be done through the latest concepts like farmer's friend mobile app, agricultural clinic, and agricultural ambulance. In order to be self-reliant on seeds, it has been mentioned that major food crops like paddy, maize, wheat, and seeds of pulses, vegetables, grass, etc. will be produced and processed, and marketed.
The Chief Minister has provided in the policy and program to run integrated agriculture and livestock development program, a climate-friendly model agricultural village. The best farmer will be awarded the Bhim Dutt Award.
It is mentioned in the policy and program that agriculture and livestock development programs will be implemented targeting single women, freed Haliyas, Kamaiyas, Kamalaris, Dalits, persons with disabilities, and others.
It is mentioned that a land-use policy will be prepared, and the problem of landless, squatters, freed Haliyas, Kamaiyas, Kamalaris, deprived and backward classes, and unorganized settlers will be solved with the cooperation of the Government of Nepal and the local level.

The development of the religious, cultural, historical, environmental, and adventure tourism sector has been mentioned in the policy and program based on the priorities determined by the Sudurpashchim province Tourism Master Plan.
It is provided in the policy and program of the government that the Khaptad region will be developed as a spiritual meditation center and Laljhadi village municipality of Kanchanpur as a Rana cultural tourist village. It has been mentioned that the feasibility study of the Chisapani-Sugarkhal-Pandaun-Khairala guerrilla trail will be developed as a tourist footpath.
The policy and program provinces that monetary stimulus policy will be adopted on the basis of formulation and implementation of industry, commerce and supply policy of the province, export of products made by small and cottage industries, business and employment.

It has been mentioned in the policy and program that the Seti Provincial Hospital will be equipped with modern physical infrastructure and the operation of Geta Medical College will be done in partnership with the Government of Nepal. It is mentioned in the policy and program that necessary arrangements will be made to provide specialist services by making all the district hospitals resourceful.
